Install from NAND Flash and not the Micro SDCard.

Installing from Micro SDCard caused "unfortunately,com.android.provision has stopped." for me. Installing from NAND Flash with the Micro SDCard removed did not cause that error.

Me too: "unfortunately,com.android.provision has stopped." wipe data and factory reset

I decided to install your Rom but applications have been deleted Phone.apk, Mms.apk, and TelephonyProvider.apk
I occasionally connect the tablet to the network through a USB modem, I need applications, rename and does not Have the battery drain issue.

Where do I can download?

Okay kiddies, So I downloaded the DarthJabba mod last night. I am in the proces of calibration as I type on my ofice pc. SO far I noticed loading from power to main screen takes less time than it used to. My wifi is off, I am at work. Screen will be asleep for now. I will try to keep up with checks every hour or so until lunch time.

Nothing has been changed, or added. I calibrated, and that is it.

Okay, mid-day check. 4hrs:50 mins, no battery drain while on standby-sleep mode. screen was off only anti-virus and CS battery monitor running. I checked it almost hourly.

Checked Dolphin, opens fine, but I have no wifi at office so anything more than opening it will have to wait.

This MOD is superb. Thank you DarthJabba!

I can confirm, that (for me) it is faster/smoother and batery lasts a lot longer than with other ROMs

I noticed something else about Dolphin. I am unable to update it (through Google Play)

A few times Dolphin chrased (closed) - i'll test it some more, to fully confirm that.

But otherwise its a cool / fast browser.

Question:  Can I change/remove "on power up" chinese logo (both chinese logos) + can I remove arctablet logo?

The only chinese thing left is on the button in ClipPictureDemo.

I disabled this apps and the system is still working ok:

Android Live Wallpapers, Basic Daydrreams, Black Hole, Calendar, Calendar Storage, ClipPictureDemo,Contacts, Contacts Storage, Email, Exchange Services, Face Unlock, Google Calendar Sync, Google Contacts Sync, Music Visualization Wallpapers, Photo Screensavers, Picasa Uploader, Search, Speech Recorder and TalkBack.

I allso uninstalled Advanced Power Menu and GravityBoy (they didn't work).

Just noticed.. BootManager is not working (or i am not understanding it correctly)... I disabled Facebook Messanger, but it still starts on PowerUp.

Again all together its a great ROM / MOD. Thanks again!

1/ Dolphin problems:

desinstall it or

if installed in system part push it on sd part with "/system/app mover" and if necessary desinstall it

then install it

 2/ ClipPictureDemo

see 1/

3/ Other apk in system part

see 1/

Thanks for sharing this mod! It works really nice, no battery drain, no freezes, no crashes, no other major issues so far.

Boot of 0807 (even unmodded) is amazingly fast compared to other ROMs, 0810 in particular. GooglePlay/Apps device compatibility is hit and miss though. For instance "Real Racing 3" is advertised as incompatible whereas "The Room" as compatible. It was the opposite with stock ROM (last time I checked). Of course, Real Racing 3 installed from local .app works perfectly no matter what GooglePlay says. I am aware this is based purely on entries written in build.prop and can be adjusted to some degree (trial and error). This whole concept of artificially dictating what apps are supposedly compatible with your device and what not is irritating and sick. Any form of enforcing artificial unreasoned restrictions is wrong in my eyes.

By the way there seem to be an unofficial CM10.1 for RK31 tablets. Haven't tried that myself. I am tempted to give it a try at some point to find out whether they managed to fix unsmooth H264 video playback on that one and bring some other goodies.

I have uploaded the Darthjabba mod of 20130807 mod. You can get it here:

http://www.arctablet.com/users/forum/kastycube_u30gt2422204_20130807_rooted_darthjabba_201310032215.zip

* This mod is based on; kasty-cube_u30gt2-422-204_20130807_rooted
* This mod is set for 4GB data partition.

CHANGES to the Kasty ROM:
1. The Phone stuff has been removed

2. Some unnecessary library files (relics from removed Chinese apps) have been deleted.

3. Multi-user mode is enabled by default (fw.max_users=5)

4. Some extra apps added to system folder (Dolphin browser, Reboot)

5. Some extra user apps added (e.g., Bitdefender Antivirus, Master Key dual fix, Nova Launcher, Bluebox security scanner, etc.)

6. persist.sys.ui.hw set to "false" (allows some games to play)

7. ro.rk.systembar.tabletUI set to "true" (solves wallpaper stretch problems)

8. Timezone set to London

9. Language/locale set to GB and English

10. Tablet set to announce itself as GT-P7500 (Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1) - this is for better compatibility with Google Play apps

Installation:

0. Eject and remove any external SD card

1.  Copy this zip file to the tablet's internal SD card (i.e., NAND)

2.  Reboot the tablet to CWM Recovery

3.  Select "Install zip from sdcard"

4.  Then select "Choose zip from sdcard"

5.  Scroll on the SD card to this zip file, and select it

6.  Confirm that you do want to install it; the installation process will take several minutes.

7.  The tablet will reboot back to the CWM Recovery

8.  Select "Reboot system now"

9.  Go and make a cup of tea and sandwich.

10. Drink the cup of tea and eat the sandwich; make sure you spend at least 10 minutes doing this.

11. Come back to the tablet after 10 minutes. Everything should be ready now.

NOTES:

A. You may need to reboot the tablet once or twice for things to settle down completely (it happened to me).

B. You might get Maps force-closing once or twice (it happened to me)

DISCLAIMER:
You use this mod entirely at your own risk! If your tablet is bricked, then that is too sad.

If you are worried about bricking your tablet, then STOP RIGHT NOW !!!

Thanks for your hard work DarthJabba. Quick question, I have the "final, 0810" version which has only 2GB data partition. Can I use this update.zip (via CWM) as it has a 4GB data partition?

Rob
