WiFi turned OFF by itself and will not turn ON since it is greyed out. Tried also doing latest firmware but it lets you only switch to ON once and then it goes to OFF permanently.

Rebooting has no effect.

Factory reset re-mimics ON once (no scan) then OFF permanently.

Does anybody know what can I do?

This is what I tried (to get internet on tablet hopefully to reconfigure after firmware update):

For the last two days I was trying to do Reverse Tethering through ADB (Android Debug Bridge) but I am not able to see the device.

I used the following:

Reverse Tethering through ADB from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1371345

ADB Drivers from http://www.cnx-software.com/2013/11/08/simplified-method-to-install-rockchip-usb-drivers-in-windows-xp78/

The U30GT2 simply refuses to get visible to ADB and to the reverse tethering program even though the drivers seem installed correctly. I tried on two different PC's both Win7 & 64bit with no luck.

When I tried the same with my Samsung mobile phone it worked like a charm, drivers installed wit no trouble and was visible to ADB at first try!

Has anybody tried anything similar with the U30GT2 or managed to get internet without WiFi?

Also this tablet crashes for no apparent reasons and I had disputes with cube-tablet.com from where I bought it but unfortunately for the price it is I did not find matching tablets, so a supplementary question would be if it was you would you consider buying this item again obviously from someone else preferably eBay?

Hi,

I have exactly the same issue with the wifi. My tablet comes also from cube-tablet.com. Have you found a solution?
