I do hope cube make the split screen function have more choice of apps for the dual screen view. Splitting the screen between 2 apps is very useful.
However splitting the screen into 4 looks pretty however I have found is useless for a productivity point of view. 4 apps sharing the screen means I spend more time zooming in and out and fiddling with the windows than getting work done.

Morning report. Batt now at 80% over a period of 21h 39m of being idel with just the wifi on. Most apps are in hybernation, except for about ten i just found out were still not alseep. Overall I think thats what I was getting with the last KK rom and a DJ 798/720 kernnel. No flikkering screen Darth after flashing the kernnel so I did not find a reason to chk disable HW overlays at this time.

If I don't disable HW overlays, the flicker returns. Currently on a revised gpu798ht_ddr750. I've tried to reduce the heat generation, without much success. Antutu score is 22267 for gpu798ht_ddr750 and 22083 for gpu798ht_ddr720. So there isn't really much to gain from gpu798 versus gpu768, or ddr750 versus ddr720.

Correct. In my view, 768-720 remains the overall best, with 768-667 not very far behind.
I think it all depend on how all these things work together in a systemic way. I would have eventually stayed with 768-667 because its performance is roughly equivalent to 768-720, except that, for some odd reason, it seems to run much warmer than 768-720.

Regarding battery drain in stand-by mode, over the last 48 hours, it goes about 0.28% per hour. In the last 12 hours, it goes about 0.38% per hour. I guess the slowest drain is when it goes from a fully charged tablet. These stats are ok with me. Before I had about 1-1,5% per hour. All of that is tested with DJ's phone apps mod applied, Greenify in action, WiFi always off, ringer on (I still think it's placebo effect :)), and battery was calibrated three days ago, one full discharge/charge before this test. I also noticed less battery drain while working on it before this test, so I guess that's better too, but it would be hard to exactly measure it, because it varies from user to user and his everyday tasks. Long story short - me happy...

Ouch. Bad thing. Or just 1 in a million? I had this strange scenario just now: wanted to see how battery is going on, and I saw it was 2% down, but after that I couldn't put it into stand-by anymore. After a few seconds it rebooted itself, but after that it coudn't boot up completely and was giving me a nice screen filled with vertical colored lines. Then it rebooted itself once more, and now is I suppose ok, but I was wondering if anyone experienced similar issue? Could it be due to beta or the overclocked kernel? Generaly I don't have any problems with my Cube since I bought it, but this one is weird enough for me to ask about it here...

Nope no such problem with mine. Also wanted to say that I have had a similar results with my battery power as you have. Since flashing the new beta I have had very insignifant battery loss. I had the same in the previous beta, again using the 798/720 oc's from DJ. All that under similar set up as you , greenify, boot manager, I did have wifi on at home, but off most of the day at work. I did do two callibrations from full to as complete empty/dead battery as possible while leaving charging all night. I am satisfied with my cube performance tothe point I will probsably try the suggestion by DJ to lower my kernel, but probably not much after that unless is an interesting change for the better.

May be due to static discharge. Have had mine due it a couple of times. It would be sitting on the desk and running fine when I came in walking across the carpet and I touched the tablet to pick it up. It is dry here at the time and I get discharges all the time when I touch things like the light switch etc. So now I make sure I am discharged before picking it.

LOL. It could be. Because I also sparkle everywhere and all the time
And indeed I was pulling out the tablet from the case cover at the same time, so I indeed had a direct contact with it when it happend. Thanks.

Tablet running smooth with this firmware and oc 768-720 kernel.Â
On standby I get great battery stats. Similar to previous postings. However on streaming video and installing loads of apps I get 1hour 24mins battery goes from 100%-0%. Is that normal? It seems a bit short to me. I have done a couple of battery calibrations. I will see what I get with a non over clocked kernel when I have a moment.

I can tell you that I get at least 4 to 5hrs of reading time(kindle, nook, playstore reader), with a few checks at my e-mail in between. I don't do much video streaming so I can't comment on that. If ijust did app management I could probably do the same as reading.

Hmm started to notice dolphin browser stalling almost as its about to change pages Darth! I thought it may be the kernel giving me issues so I tried the stock one from your ROM, then the other two I have mentioned using and after a few minutes of browsing it happens again. It stall until I foreclose it. Also can't uninstall it to try updating or just getting rid of it. Any ideas?

I don't have any issues with Dolphin. If you don't want it running, you can "Force stop" it from apps management, or hibernate it with "Greenify". Getting rid of it is also easy - just run a file manager that gives you write access to the /system partition, and remove the Dolphin apk from /system/app/.
