Yes, power button is sometimes insensitive, this seems a common issue.

The WIFI performance for online  video playback is not as good  as my mk808b mini pc or

windows notebook. It paused once in a while under 19Mbps.  But if it's close to router, it's

working fine (65Mbps).

Though this rom seems stable, I couldn't feel significant performance improvement compared

to  the original rooted rom (4.1.1) with this tablet.

One issue is found:

Connecting to USB hub is not working which was okay with 4.1.1 ROM.

I tried to connect USB hub to use USB wireless keyboard/mouse and USB-to-ethernet LAN at the same time.

None of the device is up.  Connecting each device to the U30GT2 USB slot directly is okay.

Installed today, everything seems to be working fine so far except, sometimes it doesn't want to start up, just keeps flashing cube logo etc, a bit annoying, have to fiddle around with holding the Power button, turning on and off again, no set sequence seems to work, just eventually it either restarts, or loads up. Got a feeling it has something to do with the Arc Tablet Custom Firmware logo that pops up before it, I may be wrong, but pretty sure that's what's interfering with the start up.

Strangely im still get the same AnTuTu score i have done on all the last ROMs, 15500ish

What score do you get if you change to resolution to 1280x800?

I cant see a way to change the setting in the app, Did you mean run the app using HDMI out to a tv?

I had that problem with the last ROM., But this one starts everytime.

The only power problem i have is the same as most people report, The power button needs pressing 2 or 3 times sometimes to wake or put the TAB to sleep.

try a fresh install

Working good for me, I notice everything works smoother and is less laggy. I don't mind the notifications switch or the smaller left centered buttons. Great work! Thanks very much.Laugh

Latest update after going from 2.03 to this 2.04 version after 3 days of testing. Everything is much smoother comparing to 2.03. I am not playing any 3d games but I installed 2 demanding games from Gameloft- Modern combat 4 Zero Hour and Asphalt 7. I can say that Asphalt 7 was unplayable with 2.03 and MC4 was so-so. On 2.04 they both have much higher frame rate and quite enjoyable on full 1080p screen resolution. I scored 15,200 in Antutu and I didn't test 800p speed performance difference yet but can say it may not be needed as even complex game 3D scenes had sufficient frame rate on 1080p. All apps open faster and many scroll much smoother comparing to what was the case on 2.03 version.

Android stock browser is fast and super smooth and no other top android browser comes even close to stock browser performance. Having said that, I have tested few popular browsers to find out which one performs the best. There is one strange disappointment. Chrome for android has obvious problems when scrolling. I tried to change all kind of settings and Chrome is anything but smooth. I know how great Chrome performs on my Galaxy Nexus on dual core 1.2Ghz CPU, so there is no reason it cant be at least as smooth and fast on quad core CPU. There must be something missing in 2.04 that literally blocks Chrome performance!!!

Also, it seems that some apps are running great, fast, smooth, but other are quite choppy and behave like Chrome browser. There is something missing, some setting maybe where apps should use GPU but they can't and then fall back to software or something making them scroll terribly.

For example we have the same issue with Swype keyboard. As soon you are swyping or typing fast, it will start lagging quite bad, while google stock keyboard works flawlessly. Having some apps and games perform grat and other not, this seems to be rather software issue. Is there a way we could somehow report this bugs like the one with Chrome to Rockchip or Cube?

BTW, for all those who use stock android keyboard and are missing swyping option, you can download from Google play store "Google keyboard". After testing 5 or more most popular keyboards on cube tablet, I came to conclusion that Google keyboard works best (even though I usually use Swype on other phones).

Hmm frustrated. Anyone know someplace I can get this done in Jacksonville Florida? I just can't get my u30gt2 to be recognized by the pc, and drivers wont load. I don't want to mess this up, as u can imagine I can't afford to replace tablet if I brick it.

Maikal,

You need to follow the right sequence to enter flash mode.

1. power off u30gt2

2. Hold "volume +" button

3. Connect usb to pc

4. Hold power button (while "volume +" has been hold already)

5. New device should be detected by pc

6. Release both buttons

7. Check your OS to see if it's 32-bit or 64-bit version and install the right driver

8. Run flash tool and flash the rom

I see the problem. I get a choice of x64 or x86, my system is 32bit. could that be the problem?

=> then goto x86 => choose the right OS (win7, win8, xp, vista, 2000)

This is really a GREAT ROM...THANK YOU!

Some comments after a few days of usage:

- not able to find miracast setting

- not able to find "multi user" setting

- WiFi  is still weak comparing to my friend's dual core samsung

( this ROM really brought a joy to usage of this tablet, but IMO WiFi is still its Achilles heal)

- VERY, Very smooth ( I use iOS looking Espier launcher)

- Antutu around 15350 in full HD 1929*1080, .......17220 in 1280*800 resolution

- LOVE  the new 4gb apps partition. Please don't EVER make it smaller. 2 GB was a joke in 32 GB tablet

- also love the status bar on the bottom and smaller font. Top bars are OK for phones, tablets should have them on the bottom by default ( with an option to move them up for those that want it)
