I've installed the ROM and no real problems so far. Just two questions: Anybody aware if VPN is working with this ROM? I tried it but didn't succeed - same VPN client on my phone with Cyanogenmod 10.1 works without problems.
The 2nd question is about the status bar (where the battery, wlan symbols are). All ROMS I used so far had the status bar on top but with this ROM it's now on the bottom. Does anybody know why and if it can be moved back to the top?

Thanks for this ROM, Its a 30% speed increase for me coming from the last custom ROM
Everything is faster & games like RR3 have a bit more FPS than on stock & the last custom ROM.
Just wish i could overclock from 1.6Ghz to the reported 1.8Ghz the eBay seller said it wasÂ
Strangely im still get the same AnTuTu score i have done on all the last ROMs, 15500ish

I have difficulty to enter flash mode (flash tool can't detect U30GT2 connected though windows driver had been installed successfully).
Below is the right way to enter flash mode found in user manual. (instead of holding volume + and power buttons at the same time).
1. power off U30GT2
2. hold volume +Â Â
3. connect USB between U30GT2 and PC
4. hold power button until PC detects new device.
5. release both volume + and power buttons.

I didn't used the power button to enter flash mode.
Shut down the tablet,
do not plug any cable into the tablet,
press the volume button, and while it is pressed, plug in the USB cable.
You must hear the beep from the PC, and the driver starts installing. Here you can release the power button.
If the driver didn't installed, don't worry, you can install it manually. The tablet has entered flash mode, it does not matter if the Windows driver is OK, or not.
After you have the driver installed, you can flash.

No, no youtube video yet
Installing driver is easy. Once you plugin the tablet on your PC the very first time the Windows OS will install a driver for the new USB device (look at the notification bar in the lower right corner of Windows). At this point in time just open the Windows Device Manager, select the new device, right click and choose update driver/install driver. Select "Browser my Computer ..." and choose the driver from the Rockbatch folder - especially the driver that matches your Windows version (Windows 7 / 64 bit etc.)
My way is typically:
1. Windows / Open Control Panel
2. Select "System"
3. Open "Device Manager"
4. Plugin the tablet
5. Start the tablet
6. Wait until the new device appears in the device list of the Device Manager
7. Right click onto the new device and "Install/Update Driver"
8. Choose the driver from "My Computer"
9. Done
The rockbatch tool ZIP file is linked in the first posting of the thread .

I'm not 100% sure about this particular version of the ROM since I havnt had a chance to flash it yet, but on previous versions, I used TUN Installer to get VPN functionality to work.

I'm using this fw for about 2 days, and it's worth the effort to change from the 2.02 to this. It is also better, than the previous 2.04
With the previous 2.04, I've had some restarts, when the screen changed orientation. In the last two days, it didn't happened.
The other thing, I prefer the status bar on the bottom instead of the top line.
Speed, and other things, I don't know exactly, but works fine.
Only one thing. I have to press the on/off switch twice, if I want to turn the screen off. I do not know why. It is not a button problem, because turning on works for the first time. Not a big problem, I can live with it easily, I only mentioned it.
I still say, I will keep this version.
