hi,

Very smooth ROM,  thanks.

BTW: sorry for the noob question but how do I set multi users? is it possible with this rom?

Ty again

It should be possible to enable multi-users like it is done on other tablets, check here:

http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/cube-u30gt2/cube-u30gt2-android-4-2-2-custom-root-firmware-beta-version-20130425/#p21808

I preferred not to enable it by default in our custom firmware as Cube may have some good reasons to do so in their stock firmware.

Still, I'm planning to make an ArcTools package to make it easier to set, I'll post when it's ready.

Cheers.

Its by default in my rom :) chek it out!

I have just published a new ArcTools package that disables/moves the Phone.apk, this has been reported to save some battery life on the U30GT2.

can anyone check the following that were still issues in the previous firmware (2.01):

1) distorted sound in skype

2) hdmi timeout does not work

3) no battery statistics

I have just installed your custom 2.02 rom. There was no problem with booting at all. Flashing went quite smoothly.

I have checked all three mentioned issues and got following results:

1) fixed

2) not fixed

3) not fixed

I have noticed also that Chrome browser is working very smoothly now without any lagging. Not enough time yet to say more about this new FW. Thank you admin very much for your nice and quick job!

I went back to 2.01 because i keep black screens after Arctablet logo

Did not test is i have same issue with official Cube 2.02 firmware, anyone did??

Hello, First of all. Thanks for all of the time you spend on creating and modifying firmwares youre great !

All testing are made on my cube u30gt2 v3 (freshly received):

-I tried different firmware last night : first 1.05 with 4.1.1 and then2.02w 4.2.2 and antutu benchmarks score are poorest on the newest version. Is this a normal issue ?

Is there any difference in scores between 2.01 and 2.02 ?

-I noticed wifi is very sensitive on 1.05 firmware can the newest release can bring more stability ?

Thanks again for all of you

I have the tablet two months now and i have concluded the following..

1.03 version which was the one that came with the tablet as stock, sucked hard...

At first i skipped 1.05 and went directly to all the betas 4.2 that came out. Then i tested the arctablet rooted versions of the released 4.2.

All of the 4.2 versions give a significantly lower Antutu score. in average 4.2 gives you aroun 15.000 - 15.200 mark. As said in previous posts benchmarks are not always a rule to choose whether a firmware is good or bad. Our tablet performs worse in gaming with 4.2 in real life for sure, not so much worse but it lags a bit more.

In 4.2 the touch screen though is more sensitive and accurate lets say (checked with multitouch testers) but there are issues also with a sort of flickering (an automatic increase decrease in the brightness for no reason)

The wifi was awful in 1.03, was better in 1.05 and is more stable in 4.2

4.2 also has issues with the battery, which were partly solved with removing the Phone.apk

In 4.2 you will find issues with the hdmi timeout and your battery statistics (skype was fixed in the last 4.2 2.02 thankfully)

Concluding and always in my own opinion the best firmware for now is still 1.05. The laptop is a bit faster in general than any other firmware (not so smooth touch as 4.2 though), and if you don`t experience problems with your WiFi then its the one to go... Until 4.2 issues are resolved

@admin: I would like to propose that space for apps storage (i.e., the /data partition) should be set at 4GB. The default 2GB will eventually turn out to be too constraining, and I am not sure that one can increase its size after installing the firmware.

Thanks.
