Low battery duration with v 4.2.2 (01)

I have the impression that the battery consumption is skyrocketing, if comporamos this version (4.2.2 rot 3) with the latest version 4.1.1. The difference in length is important, bearing in mind to take the steps to ensure that the recharge cycle was from 0%.

It is the ringer/phone radio that is eating up the battery. There is a mod by JellyBelly (probably posted somewhere on this forum) that removes all the unnecessary telephony stuff. This will restore battery life to normal. You need CWM recovery to install it. It is discussed on this page.

Yes, I install it every time I upgrade my firmware. The mod deletes these apk files;

/system/app/Messaging.apk

/system/app/Phone.apk

/system/app/TelephonyProvider.apk

/system/app/TelocationProvider.apk

/system/app/Mms.apk

If you don't have CWM, then there has been a suggestion to use ESFileExplorer or similar app to mount "system" as "rw" and rename those files. That way, the change is reversible.

PS: "admin" could probably remove these apk files from future firmware releases - then one doesn't need to find a way of removing them.

I used: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.beansoft.mount_system&hl=pt_BR to mount the system file but i couldn´t find the Messaging.apk and TelocatoinProvider.apk

Deleted the other 3 files. hope battery life increases a little :/

I get friend. I managed to disable the ringing phone and a recommended program "Smart Quick Settings". I'm going to delete:
/ system / app / Messaging.apk

/ system / app / Phone.apk

/ system / app / TelephonyProvider.apk

/ system / app / TelocationProvider.apk

/ system / app / Mms.apk

  Thank you very much

Darth Jabba just did tell what this zip does. Nothing else.

You can check if it was successful (see screenshot).

The mobile signal should turn from red to this ugly yellow.

Sorry, but I do not understand what you mean. But I can confirm that the mod does not seem to affect anything else (i.e., I believe that it is safe).
