Please someone

what apk for editing build.prop

or what procedure

thanks

Just type in the search bar on google play for " build.prop editor" and you will find enough results, remember that you need root to be able to edit your build.prop.

Please download stock recovery version if you are not sure which one to choose.

Flash the firmware with Rockchip Batch Tool 1.7,  use Restore button.

Please report any problem with this firmware, I can't verify this custom firmware works as I don't have anymore a Cube U30GT2 tablet to test the custom firmware.

thank you for posting this versions!!! I was very tired late yesterday so I couldn't try much, but so far ROM felt faster then previous test versions. I tried some use with multiple windows, but I don't think it's that useful and it's again more like marketing gimmick from Rockchip. I will check tonight if VPN apps will work due to new kernel. Oh, and I am still getting blank screen on place of recovery :(

Have you tried to push the recovery via adb ?
The vpn will not work if the tun.ko module is not present.

I didn't. I kind off hoped I don't not need to tinker with adb and modules installation for CWM recovery and VPN to work correctly.

Have you got CWM installed? if not you need the other version.

I'm on the official version and I want to go back as it's full of bugs.

Is it best to chose the "upgrade" or "restore" button?

I think it means you have no Google services. Try google play and see if it's ok and check your sync options.

I think I'll have to go back to the previous version as this one is terrible for playing HD video, in a window OR full screen. I've tried several different players and have had similar results with them all.

Before I re-flash, was there a bug fix release dated 2013.08.15 (@eeprom's post??)??

Rob

EDIT: Should always check first duh! File is for the latest version we have now!

You will not have 4Gb RAM, you will have 4 Gb space dedicated for app instalations (stock is 2 Gb i think)
Please do google what is CWM, in this way you will find out if you need the CWM version.

I've gone back to the official test 2.04 and all is well again. Just using TB to get rid of the

Chinese programs and stuff. Just hope Cube get this sorted soon.

Okay, I did the CWM research and decided I would go with that version.  When I got it all flashed I did notice that internal storage  is 1.97gb, available is 1.53gb after installing my apps. In the previous rom I clearly had 4gb to start of with, give or take a few for the system stuff. Nand card clearly back up to the 28+gb space where before flashing it was less do to the added internal gb.

I like the idea of the CWM, but it seems I have less with this vesion than with the previous version. Am I right or am I missing something here, which is possible as I am such a newb here...lol
