Hello,

I am working on an ArcTools package for ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery on the U30GT2, like I did for Allwinner A31 based devices. This Recovery is based on fun_'s work from androtab.info

Testers willing to try my package, please let me know in this topic. Obviously, you will still have stock recovery installed on your device and preferably run Arctablet's U30GT2 custom firmware (kasty*)

Edit: Please note that this procedure is a work in progress and is not tested yet as I don't have a Cube U30GT2 to try it on. I strongly recommend that only members used to flashing regularly their tablet (and possibility unbricking it) should participate in the test.

Thank you.

Count me in. Just trying to install it the hard way and having hassles so having a tool would be great.

Cheers.

I'm also in. Currently running kasty 4.1, based on 1.05, unless one of the other threads persuaded me otherwise.

Is there a good way to mostly brick proof this tablet? Using Linux, to dd the entire flash partition, or the windows rockchiptool 1.6? It seems pretty difficult to kill it so thoroughly that the rockchip

version of fast boot used by that tool won't work, but if there's any way to further bulletproof it, I'd like to try.

I am doing CWM tests with my Cube U30GT (the first model, with RK3066 processor) and I am not completely satisfied with the results yet. This needs a little more work, I'll let you guys (robiom and splugh) know when the package is ready for testing, probably after the week-end.

Cheers.

No Need to spend time on that...there is a working CWM installation available

Download here: http://uploaded.net/file/9ugkaxhj

Unpack and flash like any other Rom with Rockchip tool.

Don¬īt change anything and you¬īll be fine.

!!! THANKS GO OUT TO FATAZ (@flashmyandroid.com) WHO BUILD THIS NICE PACKAGE !!!

Just open Arctools and select reboot and from there reboot recovery.

I always found that hit and miss at best so I use the Arktools route or terminal and reboot recovery.

There are certain apps specialized into "Reboot"ing.

If you think you need one...go and get one.

To get into recovery mode push vol up + power 5 sec, stop pushing vol up and push power until it appears logo in your screen.

To switch off push power 8 sec.

Hmmh...bringing the tablet into recovery is no problem....I had a effing hard time to get it into flash mode.

I was almost giving up, but then did use the switch option in rockchip tool which works for me.

But anyway...so why do you just go and get an app for that???

It so much easier than using the side buttons!!!

A matter of habit ...  I think ... always entered to recovery by the vol up +power ... even in stock recovery...
