Do you think that the install process could work with TWRP recovery instead of CWM ? Â Thanks for the great job.
sure, just load the twrp recovery image in androidtool and flash it. I had one time that the touchscreen didn't work with twrp though. You just have to download and flash the right one. Guess you need this jelly bean based twrp.
Then still something for the manual:
After wipe dalvik/cache, reboot. You might get some ui errors, just keep pushing ok for like 5 times. Then it should be fixed. Further you need to re-apply sEFix to 256 again. Now the settings menu should work fast again.

btw performance governor with the overclocked kernel needs a bit of tweaking still, cause if you select it, the cube doesn't go into sleep mode, but shuts off. For now it's selecting interactive, antutu score about 22.000. Will have to ask Dartjabba to tweak his overclocked kernel38 a bit for deep sleep.
Â
*edit: only thing i can think of is, when using cyanogenmod 12.1 for gaming, select screentimeout like 5 minutes, and in set cpu set the governor to performance. Then go gaming, when done gaming set the governor back to interactive and screen timeout back to 1 or 2 minutes. Be aware: the antutu score goes from about 22.000 up to 27.200 points, but the tab sure gets hot(can feel it from the front lcd panel).
Â
*edit2: been busy making an overclocked kernel working in performance governor. Now main thing is heatproduction. You got to have a kernel that doesn't produce too much. Want to try make one from standard kernel with only the highest speeds overclocked, so it produces mostly little warmth and only when really needed a lot of heat.

Off course like all the lollipp firmwares, it's on jelly bean bootloader. Only kitkat has off course kitkat bootloader.Â
*edit: Stathis1985, is this something you were looking for? Still antutu score of about 22000, but hey it's working fine.
I guess that it's fine to me. I will upgrade it in the weekend and give it a try. I will provide feedback soon.
Any news from DJ for a better kernel??

Had a working kernel myself, but can't get it to work again. You may try for yourself. DJ was starting up the kernel making a few days ago, don't know whether he's gonna go through with it.

@Mark06
I've completed the upgrade to CM12.1, everything seems to work ok except the Camera and the Rotation.
I have also an other problem. I cannot mount the internal storage. Not on my PC not even through CWM. I get an error "can't mount /sdcard"
The tablet works fine and I can store files at the internal memory (I've downloaded some files through the Google Drive App)

@stathis1985 I wouldn't know, camera takes photo's normal just what you see on the screen is one quarter turned, rotation yes you have to use an app to do it manually. Sdcard have no problems with that on my cube. What version of cyanogenmod 12.1 did you install? 1.0 or 1.1?

Rotation doesn't work at all and camera's picture is distorted.
I used v1.0

@stathis1985 maybe it's got something to do with the parameter file and you should try another. The 32gb file (in the manual) is working fine with mine. Further try formatting the sdcard with androidtool. And reflashing.
Â
For the last mentioned kernel to work in performance mode, try developer settings\keep screen on during charging. (This takes some heat from the battery and cpu in the screen). Tried it and it's working so far. Further in performance mode the tab has antutu score of little higher then 27.000.

@Mark06
I tried with a different parameter file but still the same errors. The androidtool can't see at all the internal memory. I will try to force mount it through Ubuntu and format it.
But still, the problems with orientation and camera are still there. I downloaded Advanced tools from Google Play and it seems like I have no orientation sensor. I can't figure this out. In Kasty 2.06 (4.2.2) and Kasty 06062014 (4.4.2) all sensors were working fine.

I tried a lot in the weekend to flash v1.0 correctly, without all those problems (orientation, camera and mount sd), but with no luck. I believe I will stick on 4.4.2 right now...
I also tried to flash v1.1 but the Flashtool gives me an error while flashing image.
Maybe could @Oma7144 give me a clue of what's not right.....

I tried Oma's cm12.1 on my U30GT2 for about a week. My comments are:
1. Never managed to flash v1 bootloader with given tool. Alternatively i flashed official jb 2.06 to go back to v1 bootloader.
2. Applying 32gb parameters, recommended kernel and model fix afterwards Ι had a fully working tablet! No fcs, no reboots. Thank you Oma! Never expected my Cube to run cm12.1.
3. I installed Nova Launcher and applied Oma's recommended settings. Much better now. But I missed kk 29102014 responsiveness and speed.
Problems i met:
1. Slow. Trying to do things simultaneously (i.e. listen to music and surf) makes tablet very very slow. Service rknand_buffer consumes much cpu in those cases.
2. Bluetooth does not work. Not a problem for me.
3. HDMI settings menu item is lost. I did't try to use it because i didn't really need it.
4. Camera moved to the edge of the screen but I made some shots, ok. When switched to the second camera window shows distorted picture of me with wrong aspect ratio.
I googled alot trying to figure out why nand access was so slow. Many argued that rk31 tablets are equipped with cheap and slow nand memories. I don't know if it's true because kitkat editions are very fast and responsive with this nand memory.

Thank you for feedback!
The issue is driven by the creepy Rockchip NAND driver/layer. Gen2 loader (which is used for the KK builds) solved this by a larger hidden write space at the end of the NAND. Unfortunately gen2 loader is not compatible to gen1 loader. And the in KK used selinux is a no go for a community build.
