ive tried all sorts to fix this issue, i think it may be a hardware fault. anyway heres some info.

my cube wont shutdown properly, and goes flat after a day or so (the back of the tablet stays warm), and when i try and go into recovery mode it wont turn on until the battery is completely discharged, for which im having to use an rc charger/discharger.

i did have a custom rom installed so to make sure i didnt have an issue with it i decided to install the latest stock.

i found a russian link to the v1.11 rom, as the cube site seems down. maybe theyve gone out of business, can only hope.

because i cant go into recovery mode without it bricking itself, i had to use the reboot to recovery in the rkbatch tool. i then flashed the rom using restore. it all finished sucessfully. so reboot, then press the power button select ok to shutdown, tablet shuts down, back of tablet stays warm battery goes flat. interestingly briefly before it went flat, the strange plant bootloader screen flashed up. its as if the tablet is shutting down and rebooting partially, but with a blank screen.

is there any other way of fixing this, or is it a hardware fault? i did wonder about using the unbrick method, but will this overwrite anything extra that isnt overwritten by rkbatch tool?

Try to flash the latest firmware but use the Restore option, if it does not solve your problem, it can be a hardware related problem.
