I am new to this forum and a new (but unlucky) owner of a Cube U30GT-H 32GB tablet.
I am going straight to the issue I'm dealing with:
My sister tried to connect the tablet to the TV, but instead of using the correct HDMI cable I bought for it, she connected it to the TV's USB port. That port was one of the two USB ports the TV is having, and it said HDD on top of it.
I don't know if she connected the other side of the cable to the microUSB or the miniHDMI port of the tablet (I think it fits there too) but she did connect it somewhere on the tablet.
Since then, the tablet has never worked again, it won't boot or show any signs of operation at all.
I have tried contacting Cube, without success, and the ebay seller I bought it from won't deal with my problem. So now I'm looking to find a main board for it, and replacing it my own.
Cube has not answered my request, and I can't find one online.
I would greatly appreciate if someone has tried and succeeded replacing the board, to answer this post telling me how they sourced that board, and if all went right replacing it.
I also have this to help me through
Thank you in advance,
That shouldn't have bricked as the USB is meant to be a host port and the TV should see it as a external usb drive.
But having said that I think the usb ports on these are dodgy and my issue could have been caused by me trying a xbox 360 gamepad on it.
Try to find someone in electronics who can open it up and check the circuitry in the power input section at the bottom of the board etc and post results.
If you haven't left feedback for that seller now would be a good time to to leave it based on warranty also open a dispute etc if they are refusing to deal with you you for warranty if just got the device.
Depending where you are postal laws may prevent you to return the tablet due to lithium batteries and sellers state you must return it in full intact which screwed me over but I'm going to be fixing mine soonish hopefully if I can get someone to resolder a ic and make sure whatever the cause was doesn't happen again.
I also have a 32MB U30GT-H 1.06 tablet. Have you tried holding the power button for about 5 to 8 seconds. This will insure that it is off. Next, plug in the charger and see if the unit powers up. My unit has appeared dead on a few occasions and this did get it to start. I hope that's all it is for you tablet too. These are great tablets but they do act a bit funny every once in awhile. Things like all the apps not installing on bootup on occasion, a lag here and there. Pretty much like any cell phone or other tablet. I've played with alot of tablets and they all seem to have that "android" glitch every now and then. No Biggie. Anyway, I hope you get your Cube going. Good Luck! .........................peace!
