Hi all,
Just wanted to pass on my experience with trying to have my cube repaired or replaced under warranty.
I purchased a cube a few weeks ago.
After about 3 hours use, the on-off button lowered slowly behind the chrome surround bezel to the point it did not protrude allow operation.
The button appears loose. I'm sure it is broken off the motherboard as I've read this can be a problem with the cubes.
I purchased the cube from elijah store, aliexpress and have now sent a total of 12 emails to elijah, aliexpress, and elijahmanufacturing requesting detail to return for repair or replacement.
I received one email response on my first day asking for pictures prior them sending me information needed for return of the cube.
After doing this, NO RESPONSE AGAIN !
I am now looking at best avenues for retrieve of my money or replacement/repair thru alternate consumer protection processes.
Anyone that may be of assistance , please get back as I'm sure I will not be the only one being caught out here with such problems.
Chris
Thanks for sharing that with us.Â
Based on my experience, your report and other users feedback, it seems the Cube U30 has some serious quality issues (buttons, MVA screen vs advertised IPS, tablet not booting anymore).
As for your Aliexpress purchase, you can maybe try to contact them by chat, there is a Chat now! button on the orders page, it's probably only available when the customer service persons are here, during working day time in China. I experienced it weeks ago when I wanted to return my Cube U30GT-H that did not start anymore and learned they don't have any specific RMA procedure, you just return the product with your paper giving your name/order reference and they're supposed to fix it and return you a working tablet.
I actually did not go that route and prefer to try to fix it myself, which ended up in a dead tablet which I won't RMAÂ
Maybe there will be some spare Cube parts listed on Ebay in the future for things like screen or buttons, I don't know. And in your case it really depends if the broken part is just the button or if it goes up to the motherboard.
Please keep us posted on how it goes.

Hi
thanks for your feedback.
I've tried the online chat and unfortunately ...for me, i get a message back that i should contact them direct as there is currently no one available... even tho their on line support shows as available !
This company, while all on the outside appears to be ok, when you try and communicate, seems to filter incoming calls for repair and warranty as they appear to chose.
I don't normally suggest such suspicion but to date, can only suggest that it looks like elijah manufacturing provide no warranty and support for the cube.

I posted in another thread so I'll post the story here and anyone else with dead tablets etc please do so and tell us your stories.
Was using the tablet in bed one night plugged in a xbox 360 wired controller to see about gaming but couldn't figure it out so I unplugged it and watched a youtube vid about it and when I was plugging it back in it may have touched the edge of the case or something and a white flash came out of the tablet and it turned off never to turn back on again.
Seller originally tried to tell me it was my fault for using a different power supply but this happened entirely on battery and the tablet was running for a while beforehand, I mentioned a few things before he eventually offered me warranty.
Sellers language and understanding of my emails has not been the best also and this is cube-tablet also which I know aint the official site.
Can anyone think why a wired xbox 360 controller would kill the tablet when the tablet is meant to have USB host and that controllers do work on them I was thinking reverse voltage from the charge in the controller which hadn't depleted I think to the tablet case or hdmi port which it may have touched. But when I think about it that doesn't seem right as the xbox controller is a well made product and should have whats known as a 'idiot' diode in it and the tablet itself should have stuff preventing voltage from the case etc damaging it.
Trying to get it sent back has been a real pain as local post will not accept anything with lithium batteries in it and a dedicated post forwarder that use courier that can accept tablets and laptops which initially accepted the package, don't want to send it as China has allot of hassles with couriers and mail in general coming into the country especially with warranty returns as couriers going to china want proper warranty tagged and diagnosed and arrangement with the seller papers etc etc. So I am getting a refund and the tablet back from the post forwarder.
Seems its ok for china to send stuff out as 90% or so mby abit exaggerated of ebay is China with low cost various crap and ripoff crap.
And now the seller has refused me sending the tablet without the batteries installed as thats the most logical way to resolve the issue for all parties and has offered a 'discount' instead (amount not stated) if I bought a new tablet from him as a replacement, but I presume the discount wouldn't be worth it and would only be the shipping amount or some crap.
There are other issues such as SD card corruption, static noise on headphone socket and the dodgy power supply which was causing massive EMI to my phone (Chinese made thats a different topic altogether) and crap usb cable.
Apart from those the tablet was working great for me.
Ultimately I think I want a Microsoft Surface Pro as I can use standard pc apps as its got a native FullHD display.
I do have a T2 screwdriver now, arrived yesterday just after I took the tablet to the forwarder so I'll be cracking this tablet open as soon as I get it back for a look at what may have blown as theirs no seals or anything to get in.

thanks all for your assistance here.
Unfortunately i have been trying the on line chat and all looks as tho i'm communicating with a real person. Few minutes later i get the message that no ones home and i need to contact them via email support.
I've tried the help@elijahinductrial.com, sales@elijahinductrial.com,transaction_service@aliexpress.com,
The aliexpress emails do state they have been sent but the referenced people, Lisa Wong and Mary Elijah never get back to me.
People will observe the aliexpress site even has a quality assurance section on front page !
These people appear for all the world to have set their contact pages as tho it's a scam, a dead end.
Anyone got any other ideas please let me know, otherwise meantime, my lesson, purchase in your own country with known suppliers.
thank you.
