Wow... 1.10 already??! That's great... Please do provide a mirror Mr.Admin... Thanks in advance
You should now see a mirror in the download area, it's faster link outside Europe with decent peering for America, Asia, Oceania and Russian users, please let me know how it works for you.
Cheers.

(For me) interesting observation: I was updating via the integrated update-mechanism (copying update.img to internal SD and let the OS detect the available update). What caught my eye was the kernel version. It was quite outdated and didn't match the 1.09 or 1.10 one.
Â
So I fired up virtualbox to have a windows OS and used the RockChip-Tool. Couldn't manage to go into recovery mode of the U30GT though. Trial-and-error lead to the "Switch" button of the tool which did exactly that, switch the tablet into recovery mode. "Upgrade" then worked with the new version. Verification failed at 40-something percent, but I dared rebooting.
Â
After that it formatted internal flash upon reboot (should have known that before, wanted some of those files). In fact, that did a factory reset as well. Had to reinstall and reconfigure everything. But at least now the kernel is updated as well.
Â
Can't tell much about stability yet because I only use the new firmware for few hours now. So far, everything is fine and works as expected. Maybe the description of the RockChip Toolkit should be extended to reflect that it can put the tablet into recovery mode with the "Switch" button

Yes, Thanks for your efforts but the link is very slow... Can you please provide a link with resume support? One that allows you to download at high speeds. Thanks in advance!!!

@Admin
I am downloading at around 20 KBps and the download is not resumable. The download link expires in around 2 hours from the start time. So I think you can understand my situation here. The New link that you have provided is also giving me the same speeds. Please help me out if you can!!! Thanks in Advance

Hello,
Â
Can anyone help please? I've got my Cube U30GTH16GB stuck in recovery mode after an unsuccessful flash. It prompted to load the Windows RockUSB driver once it went in to recovery mode which I did and it was recognised correctly in device manager, RKBatchTool.exe (1.5) recognised the device (Connected Device: device 1 and it was Green), having selected the update.img file from the 1st post of this thread it then went to:Â
Â
"Wait For Loader Start" but it never go to "Wait For Loader Success" as per this thread on how to flash it. It just said something about timing out. (screenshot below is not from me, it's from the link below to show you the next step in the process and what it should have done...)
Â
Â
http://www.arctablet.com/blog/featured/flashing-arnova-g2-rockchip-2918-rockchip-flashing-tool/
Â
Now when I boot it up I just get the dead android image (red exclamation mark coming out of his chest) and that's it. I have tried pressing the + and power when in recovery mode and tried the following:
Â
1) Wipe data/factory reset
2) wipe cache partition
3) recovery system from backup --> Just says Checking firmware... E:Invalid image Recovery system from backup complete.Â
Â
Nothing's working. What can I do apart from try to restore a working image from an SD card? I understand that this can brick the device anyway...
Â
Incidentally I am using the USB cable that came with tablet from Cube and it did seem to work as it gave me the green device and started the flashing process, but the problem now seems to be on the tablet not the connection to the PC...
Â
What I don't understand is it didn't really start the flash process, it's more like it's just stuck in recovery mode...
Â
Any miracle ideas?
Â
EDIT: RKBatchTool.exe now doesn't recognise the device is attached any more.

Peter, can you try a factory reset?
Â
The brightness control works flawless here. Maybe it's some old config stuff on your tablet. (I don't think MVA is the problem because the backlight is the same either way, I guess.)
Yes many times.
Last time when flash v1.10 I did a restore at Rk tool but nothing any alternative advice?
