OMG it works now. I downloaded RockusbDriver to get the device to show up in windows. Showed up as Rock306 once drivers were installed.The rockchip batch tool 1.5 showed a green tablet with 8-4 underneath. (still no clue what these numbers mean) Anyway I was able to upgrade from there.
So far the benchmark test stayed the same, 11875 on antutu benchmark. Also, no more chinese stuff all over the place. I will test this out for a few days and report back here if anything goes wrong.

Been working all day today. I've run some games and installed a battery manager now that it is rooted. Netflix even worked. Awesome!

Wifi still not working on device.
I copied the image.iso file and pasted it onto the SD card in USB mode. After disconecting it asked me if i wanted to upgrade because it located the file on the card. I selected yes.
The device reboots and the android with a blue ball spinning in its body pops up with the loading status bar.
All the unwated asian apps have been removed.
But my wifi is stilll not working! This was my main reason for wanting to put on the rooted OS. Please help?

hello!
i had the same problem... when i disassemble the tablet to reset ir, i noticed that the wire of wifi was not well atached to antena!!! took the soldering iron, and the problem was solved. very easy to disassemble!

Is is just the two tiny screws on the side where all the buttons are too open it? Also how will i know where the antenna is on the inside?
Sorry still new to this. Any help is much appreciated

I removed it to save some space on the server, as this version is quite old and latest releases are really working better. I'm curious why you specifically need 1.07 ?

because I need to return the tablet as it's got a faulty screen need than version 107 because I updated it to 1.11 was in to much of a hurry before finding the screen fault.

Well there is no reason why the seller or manufacturer would refuse an RMA on a tablet with a flashed firmware different than the stock one. Still, I agree it's safer not to send back with a custom firmware, but it should no problem if you install latest original firmware from Cube website: http://www.51cube.net/ch/DownList.asp

I brought it new from ebay and it had the 1.07 rooted firmware on so need to return it them with the same firmware version.

This is a old topic but ill reply.
Any seller who doesn't accept a return if you need to when you have updated it to the latest official manufacturer firmware doesn't deserve to be selling products.
Updates happen and are part of selling a product and you are expected as a customer to keep updated with the latest manufacturer firmware and sellers usually expect that from there customers and ask you to update before sending the tablet back incase your problem was fixed with the latest firmware.
If they don't accept it back with the latest official firmware on or they kick up a fuss you are in the right under the fair usage system and on ebay they wouldn't be able to file a claim against you due to that and if they tried then you are you in the right.
