Could you please provide instructions on how to upgrade to this? When I had my first Cube U30GT-H, I tried to upgrade to a cleaner 4.1 JB ROM but I guess I didn't do it correctly and I bricked it. Had to send it back and now I'm waiting for my replacement. I want to do it right this time so this won't have to happen again. Thanks.

You cant brick them they have built on hardware so it can be recovered.
You need a very good USB cable did you use the Rockchip batch tool, if you have the correct drivers install and the Icon on the left show green and their is No chance at all for the USB to loose connection then select Upgrade Not Recover.

Yeah the only way to recover it was to take it apart. I could not do that because I did not have the tool so I figured if I can send it back for a new one I might as well do it.
At first I did not use a good USB cable because I didn't know they were weak so maybe that was one of the reasons why it failed when I tried to upgrade. Although it did show green when it was connected on Rockchip Batch Tool. The second thing is I used the front USB port on my computer and not the one on the back of it. After it started failing, I then tried to use my cell phone USB cable, which is a quality USB cable, and that was when I bricked it. Couldn't turn it on or anything. So I sent it back and now I will be receiving the new one in a couple of days.
I did use the Rockchip Batch Tool and downloaded the correct drivers. Well I think they were the correct drivers because the device showed up on my computer and it was working properly. I just hope it won't happen when I try it again that's why I asked for instructions so I could make sure I'm doing it correctly.

Yes the supplied USB cable has very short plug one that I have from a Motorola phone has a long plug that is hard to pull out
Part No. SKN6238A stack of hits on Google for this.
I mean the Plug itself not the sort cable.
Front Ports back Ports, the only thing I can think about is the back ports are direct to the MoBo but the front ones are via a short cable.
The Tablet is not a USB powered device so I just cant see how that matters, been a Computer/Electronic Eng for some 30 years and build my own computers.
I have flashed mine some 4 times now, 2 due to lockups, I use the Motorola cable, computer is some 5 months old dual boot XP/W7 but use XP most of the time my HP scanner has no WIN 7 support.
Even when my Tablet locked up I could not turn it on at all but Fired up the Rocktool and pressed the Power/Vol+ button plugged the USB cable into the PC until I got the green icon, had to do it a few times.

Oh I see.
I read somewhere that it was best to do it on the back ports since it is hooked up right from the MoBo but I didn't really think it was a big deal if I used the front ports.
But yeah, before I sent the tablet back, I tried so many times including doing what you mentioned and it still did not want to come on or show up on Rockchip Batch Tool. My PC was Windows 7 as well. Maybe a hardware issue on the tablet occurred right after trying to upgrade again. Not sure.
Could you give me a list of steps on how to exactly upgrade to this? Or give me a link to a tutorial. Thanks!

I don't have any sleep mode issue here and it shouldn't be a "feature" of our rooted custom firmware, as it's 99% based on the stock firmware from Cube and does not bring changes in the system files.
If the tablet does not get out of sleep mode, pushing Power button for a long time (something like 10 seconds) should reboot it.
