Hi Guys

I am looking to buy a couple of tablets for my Grandsons (7 and 10 years old). I already have a Cube U30GT2 and am really pleased with it, especially after the custom ROM courtesy @admin (many thanks).

McBub are selling these tablets at a reasonable price and claim it to be a RK3188 cpu like the U30GT2.

Is there a way to port the firmware from my U30GT2 on to this tablet. Maybe by keeping the kernel and using the other images?

The kernels are personalized for each tablet, they contain drivers for the specific tablet on which is used. A 30GT2 kernel will not work on 23GT

Thanks for the quick response. I meant keep the U23GT kernel but use the system, boot, recovery and misc images from the U30GT2.

Again, not possible :) .
The recovery contains the kernel also
The boot contains device specific props
The system contains also on some certain level device specific files.
