Rooted Android 4.04 ICS custom firmware based on Cube U23GT official firmware version 1.03 (20120926)
Features:
- root with SuperSU 0.96 (free version)
- writable /system partition
- removed most Chinese and unnecessary applications
- increased space for application (/data partition) to 1.5 Gb.

Rooted custom firmware for the CUBE U23GT: kasty-cube_u23gt-404-103-rooted.zip
Using Rockchip Batch Tool version 1.5 to flash the firmware.

Please report any problem with this firmware, I can't verify this custom firmware works as I don't have a Cube U23GT to test it.

My custom adds just root, more space for data and writable system. I'll provide build.prop modification as a separate package.
The original firmware is listed in post #1.

Great, it looks like you'd be the first tester, but don't worry, if it doesn't work well, you can always flash the original firmware (see post #1) while I look to fix the custom firmware.

Tnx, I've experience with flashing cube tablets, and tested lots of latest android tablets before
21:44:30 964 **********Upgrade Done Success<1> Fail<0> Time<112633>ms**********
After first start reformatted memory as usual when application partition increased.
Before update on fw 1.02 got 8324 scores in antutu, what makes it good result imho.

Imho it should work like on older cube tablets.

p.s. on this 1.03 fw with root, antutu scores slightly differs, but I don't think that there is serious changes on performance.

Great to hear the firmware works OK.
I have noticed some variance in Antutu benchmark scores, you can easily get a 3-4% difference on the numbers in just a few tests in row, so it's not that reliable...
Regarding CWM, I should be able to add it, is there any version you'd recommend (I'd actually need the file)Â ?Â

OK, so I've added included CWM_5.5.0.4 recovery from the Cube U30GT (file from CWM_5.5.0.4_u30gt-w.zip)
