Hello,

I'm new in the forum since I've just bought a cube u23gt!

Here's my problem:

After the first charge of my battery, I was waiting the battery to fall under 5-10% before an other full charge.

But with the battery around 20%, the tablet crashed

I reboot the tablet but it now has 40% battery! But after that when it goes around 20% it stopped working saying the battery is empty...

I've then charged it  and the charge started at 0% so the battery was truely empty. And again the next time,it was again saying that 20% of the battery was left but it stopped and when I reboot it after charging, i again started at 0%

anyone has this problem? you think I should send back the tablet?

I don't know what to do because the tablet seem to have quite good battery life despite this fact, but it's just ennoying not knowing when it will run out of power...

Can it be a software problem?

There are similar issues reported with other Cube models:

http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/cube-u9gt4/u9gt4-speaker-too-slow-and-battery-indicator-problem/

http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/cube-u30gt/battery-life-1/

I don't know if it's either an hardware problem with the battery measurement electronics, a software problem in the Android implementation (that can maybe fixed by a software update) or a mix of both. About your specific Cube U23GT case, other users reports will help to understand if the problem is general or if the issue just affects your device.

Cheers.

I have the same problem. Besides, the device cannot be switched off when charging, it always restarts. Confused

Just to prove my ignorance: is it not possible to charge the U23 through the mini USB?

Hi,

I've experienced the same issues with this tablet & tried everything to solve this without  any success...

Finally I figured out it must be the faulty battery so I ordered a new 4800 MA one from China, It was a bit thicker than the 4500 MA built-in battery but still fit.

All problems disappear since than so the tablet now lasts over 6 hours.

cheers

Mjay

I have a theory about the known issue with the battery, I've had the same problem for months. I think the cause may be a damaged battery because of overcharge in other nets like European with the original Chinese charger. Is that possible? What would be in this case the best solution? Which are the battery and right charger models? Thanks.
