JMI Pulse 10
Cube has just released an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Cube U20GT.
[[** please register to see this link **]] U20GT_Android4.1_V2.00_20121124.zip (2012/11/24)
Android 4.1 build: rk30sdk/rk30sdk/rk30sdk:4.1.1/JRO03H/20121108.105215:eng/release-keys
Linux Kernel: Linux version 3.0.8+ (root@ubuntu) (gcc version 4.4.3 (GCC) ) #505 SMP PREEMPT Thu Nov 22 23:18:14 PST 2012
This is a major upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, Google Translation of Cube version history says this firmware changed the following:
Updated to Android 4.1 system;
aging game crashes to amend the part of the machine;
awakened not some machine screensavers.
Here is our custom rooted firmware version of the Android 4.1 JB based on official Cube version 2.00
- root with SuperSU version 0.96 (free version)
- writable /system partition
- removed most Chinese and unnecessary applications
- increased space for application (/data partition) to 2 Gb.
Rooted custom firmware for the CUBE U20GT: [[** please register to see this link **]]
Using [[** please register to see this link **]] version 1.5 to flash the firmware.
Please report any problem with this firmware, I can't verify if this custom firmware works properly as I don't own a Cube U20GT to test it.

I haven't kept it, I'll try to download it later.
JMI Pulse 10
So far so good! txs a lot.
I've uninstall the 5 chinese apps that were still on the OS… Can you tell me why you let them there ? For chinese user i guess?
Not really, it's probably a miss during the apps cleanup when building the custom firmware. This is be corrected in next firmware release.

I tried to flash my Cube U20GT with [[** please register to see this link **]] and this rooted firmware and impossible to flash (see screenshot below)
Anything I did wrong ?
Was the square in green color when you started to flash the tablet ?
I finally succeeded in installing the firmware (I was not in download mode) !
The rooted rom works greats ! but the battery problem is still here (perhaps it's even worse).
When the battery is at 100%, If I activated wifi and launch an application ity takes about 4h30 to decrease from 100% to 45-40%
For me it's quite normal
But after that in less than 30 min it decreases from 45-40 to 15% !
Battery problem with cube u20gt ? calibration battery problem ? anyone else has this problem ?
Any idea what to do ?
raph, I have the same battery problem too. with 4.0.4. and Jelly Bean
I have noticed that g-sensor fails with the update. When I´m working for a long with the Cube g-sensor stops to work. If I let the tablet take a rest g-sensor works again. Maybe is not a problem with the update but I hadn't this problem before to install the new firmware.
Yes, It is 4.1 rooted firmware, but I had also this problem before. My last firmware was 4.0.4 rooted from this page. I´ll try with another ROM and I´ll keep in updates.
I tought that was a cube problem but I had installed the two rooted firmwares from here. I had the same battery problem.
Let's see if I have the same problem with others ROMs.
