Hi Oma,

tested it, but it didn't change anything.

I think we don't need the framework.res.apk.

Here is what i used as fix:

http://www.file-upload.net/download-10995257/fix.zip.html

with that and the phantom rotation fix everything works (except bluetooth of course :-)).

Hi Oma,

i installed your CM 12.1 Build for Odys Iron on my tolino tab 8.9. then i took your model fix for the kitkat rom, adjusted the build.prop to thw cm build and flashed it.

Now wifi and rotation are working (rotation is quite slow like it was in kitkat omnirom). auto brightness seems to work also (was not working on kitkat).

But what is not working, is bluetooth.

Maybe you can help me to fix bluetooth?

Can you walk me through the exact steps you took...

1. Install CM 12.1 Odys Iron

2. Change the build.prop from the kitkat model fix to match the CM12

3. Flash the Model Fix

4. Flash the Phantom Rotation Fix

And that's it?

Yes, that is how i did it:

1: you have to do it with the same procedure like in kitkat. exchange kernel.img and use recovery.img from stock rom. i used a dynamic parameters file also. actually i took the 8GB parameters file from cm12.1 and copied over the last line from the kitkat dynamic parameters file. i don't know, if this is necessary, but it worked.

afterwards i flashed cwm.

2/3. you can use the fix from the link i posted above

4. regarding the phantom fix, it seems, if the tool is set to forced auto rotation, the tab is doing instant reboots from time to time. so for the daily use (web surfing, email etc..) i don't use the forced mode.

ok, it's not really stable.

it reboots from time to time.

i give the cm12 build a try.

Hi Oma, i tested around today. Now i have stable cm12.1. I used the fix you posted in 162. I added lights.rk30board.so. without it brightness is not changeable. Then i changed ro.sf.hwrotation=270 in build.prop. rotation fix seems not necessary. The reboots i had were caused by sefix. What do you recommend to change entropy? I noticed that mobil standby is using most of the battery, even when the tab is switched to flight-mode. is it possible to disable mobil standby completely?

Hello Oma,

can you help me, please ?!

I have the Tolino Tab 8.9 and it seems that I bricked my device. Until flashing your ROM I did a mistake by checking/unchecking some boxes and now my screen stays black and the RKAndroid Tool tells me "Found RKAndroid Loader Rock USB". When I try to flash a firmware I get the Error: Download file failed.

In your description I've done these steps:

"""

connect your tab to the power supply and to the PC via USB cable

1) installation of the usb-driver (skip if you have the driver installed already)
     a) boot your tab and set storage mode to MTP and debugging to USB
     b) run DriverInstaller.exe

2) start the tab into flash-modus
     a) run RKAndroidTool.exe with admin rights
     b) press power button and volume up button and hold for 12 sec
     c) release the power button
     d) release volume up button when "Found ..." is shown

3) flash the firmware with RKAndroidTool
     a) untick the loader
     b) Run
     c) stock recovery will format the NAND
     d) wait up to 20 min

"""

After that I did the mistake in the following steps and shot my device:

"""

4) flash the CWM recovery with RKAndroidTool
     a) go to app drawer, open RebootMenue and Reboot to Bootloader
     b) untick kernel, boot, system
     c) load recovery_CWM
     d) Run
     e) tab boots into CWM
     f) reboot system now (both answers are No)

"""

Can you help me, please ?! What can I do ? I have no chance to send this device to the service because of the age and now I have to help me by myself. I opened the Cover now to take the Tolino into the Maskrom mode (by Pin contact), but I don't really know how and I don't really know if this is way to resolve my problem.

Thank you in advance !

You damaged the parameter partition. Go on with Mash-Rom modus, in principle like here.

Hi Oma,

thank you for the fast reply ! I will try it tomorrow. Where can I get the image which is seen in the second tool of the video ? The tool where the icon switch to blue or violett that ables you to flash ?

Use the build from post #103. It comes with RKAndroidTool. The tool doesn't matter. The trick is to start the first stage bootloader which is located in the SoC by shorting the two NAND pins.

Hello,

I figured something out but I got some questions:

1. See on the attachment: is thsi the right NAND ? If so, which wins have I to short ?

2. When I shorten the pins I have to reset the Tablet or plug off USB or how can I set the device to Maskrom mode ? The field in the Rockchip Batchtool always stays green. (Will the RKAndroidTool tell me that the device is in Maskrom-Mode, too or is there still the message "found RKAndroid Loader Rock USB" ?

3. With the Rockchip Batch Tool I always get the Message "Load firmware failed". Which file I have correctly to use ? I tried out someone but always get this message.

The point at the left button marks the start position. So count up to pin 8/9 and short it by a paperclip or small screwdriver.

The tab needs to be on the power supply and the usb cable plugged in. Just shorting the pins will start the mash-rom modus.

RKAndroidToll will show "Found RKAndroid MaskRom Rock Usb". Click eraseIDB and the click Run.

Hello again,

I fall into despair ...

The method seems not to work. The Loader mode does not switch to mask-rom mode. I tried another hind to short pins 5-6 and then 7-8 which helps in some cases - but not for me.

Do you have another solution for me or did I made anything wrong ?? Maybe it's because there is a Samsung nand in my device which is different from others ?

Doesn't matter which NAND. Keep trying. Also check if holding a key while shorting will help.
