Hi everyone,

Is it possible to flash Kitkat 4.4.2 in this 10.1in tablet?

Vendor/Download page: http://www.primux.es/producto.aspx?id=238#ctrl2prodes1_lblCaracTit

-Hardware:

RK3188-T

RTL8188ETV

Mali400

Buttons are, vol-, vol+ and power

-Software:

Kernel 3.0.36+

Android 4.2.2

Build rk30sdk-eng 4.2.2 JDQ39 eng.ccz.20131025.0326BU.102426 test-keys

Here is the link of the dump from the vendor update file:

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/bfy7km9eoi6qr05/AAAK8-zjjEHpWhWWZCH9VX2Pa?dl=0

I'll run all the tests you need and give all the feedback.

Thanks =)

Here is the dmesg log:

dmesg log

I've flashed a lot of 4.4 roms but i always get a white flash and then black screen. The back light turns on, nothing else happens, when i flash the vendors 4.2.2 update, it boots ok.

Try this build: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?p=3555

Kernel: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=2560

Parameter: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=2033

Just change the parameter file in folder rockdev and the kernel in folder rockdev/Image before flash.

In CWM do a factory reset and install the 160dpi fix: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=2013

Hello,

First of all, thank you Oma for your reply!!

I've used the build cRom v1.4.1 from the first link on your reply, replaced the parameter file on the rockdev folder (renamed it to parameter) and the kernel file in the rocdev/image folder and then opened the RKAndroidTool, the flashing process went ok, but in the end the tablet doesn't get out of the flashing mode, even after i push the reset button it gets back to flashing mode without pressing any other button.

Normally when the flashing process ends the tablet tries to boot.

Ok, found something strange. The kernel from your dump does not have a kernel string. So, it can't boot.

Download again and try: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=2560

Now it's working, you did it, thank you very much, when the flashing process ended it booted into the recovery menu, i followed your instructions and rebooted.

First boot took a while, i think it's normal, wifi, sound, buttons ar working well.

From what i've noticed only rotation isn't working.

Here is a picture from the "about this table" page:

About this tablet...

Once again you did a great job! You can add this model in the roms page.

Thank you! =)

Fine. Is it just orientation or is the screen not rotating?

The screen was not rotating.

For the rotation problem i've installed the phantom rotation fix and now i can rotate manually, the auto rotation still doesn't work.

Auto rotation is now working well, but the screen orientation is reverse, could this be because of the phantom fix i've installed?

So, 180 degrees wrong? Is it still the same when you set the app to auto?

Yes, it always puts the image in reverse if the app is in auto, if i change to landscape manually in the app it changes to the correct orientation, only changes into reverse in auto rotation mode.

Once again you did it Oma, after i put in auto mode in the app, auto rotation started working in the correct orientation, thanks a lot!! =)

Just a question, is it normal for the external SD card to appear in the KK, i have to set mount in the CWM?

Thank you!
