Oma:

RADXA is still no go.  The original parameters are not being recognized in build.  Not building at all with kernel replacement (JB Your Oma non-selinux).  Have booted and ran the Radxa 4.2.2 JB (the build from which I am using kernel from).  So I have taken this build and replaced the Image directory with the Omni build Directory and kernel change to JB.  I now get a boot and install with two major problems 1) The display is running in a 480 AV format over HDMI and 2) com.android.systemui error.  Between ticking OK and one step movement to next screen, everything seems to work except for the 2 mentioned above.  Still seeing what can be done and will try cube30gth dual next.  On radxa checked the cm11 and the same parameters are used here also, will see if I can get cm11 to work on radxa also, if not will push as above and see if I get same results.

RADXA OMNI WORKING.

The loading is fine the way described by OMA.

All my mistakes are because old and set in my ways, and radxa tempermental.

You must use the CM11 160 dpi fix in CWM  (Com.android.systmui error is cured with this)

you must erase factory and data in CWM

when reboot is selected ignore and enter (NO) to following questions

WAIT is LENGTHY clos3e to 5-7 minutes to boot initially

Thanks cappybob

Given that I'm still having problems with my Vido n80rk freezing for periods due to rknand_buffer chewing up CPU, I'm really thinking that it's a problem with the kernel some how. So, a solution is to replace the Vido n80rk kernel with another kernel that will hopefully support all the hardware and perhaps fix the problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions of a kernel that is known to work with this device or people may think will work on this device?

Here's a link to the exact device: http://www.yuandaocn.com/product_details.aspx?id=39

Mediacom MP84S4 or which tab do you mean?

We have had some discussions here: http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/crewrktablets-rk3188-entwicklung-customroms-development-croms/mediacom-smartpad-8-0-s4-m-mp84s4-kitkat-4-4-2-problems/

Build v1.3.1 should work for you: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?p=3555

I tablet Mediacom MP84S4 and have installed Rom:

OMA KIT KAT Android 4.4.2: http://www.androidiani.com/forum/altri-tablet-mediacom/405678-rom-mp84s4-smartpad-s4-8-0-oma-kit-kat-android-4-4-2-a.html

so just drain and install rom without changing anything ..... excuse my ignorance but are not practical enough for this I ask you a big help. Thank you very much

Build v1.3.1: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?p=3555

Kernel MP84S4: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=1790

Just change the kernel in folder rockdev/Images before flash.

In CWM do a factory reset and install the 160dpi fix.
