Ok, most likely not a frash driver problem. What happens when you click Switch in RKAndroidTool?

Switch didn't do anything. However I switched from a USB3 port to a USB2 port and it found the device on the 2nd try... everything seemed to go smoothly.. no errors. Thanks!

WOW this worked really well. I was considering using my Nextbook 8 NX785QC8G to balance a wobbly chair. but this really made it useful. Didn't like the 1GB Limit for the primary installation partition, and the quirky power-up issues.  I am not looking to "max-out" the tablet just have it actually work well.  MX player wants me to reinstall. Ill poke at it a little and see if I can resolve the issue.

Hello noob here - Thank you after a couple of tries I finally got it to work perfectly on my Nextbook 8 Quad Core NX785QC8G. I really appreciate all the posts on this topic, very helpful.

I do have a question, like I mentioned it works perfectly but during the flashing I made my Nextbook look or made it look like it is a Nexus 7. Is there anyway I can change this without formatting and re-flashing again? I really need to change it from a Nexus 7 to run 2 programs from the google app store that do not run on a Nexus 7, or a Nextbook 8.

any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'm having trouble getting this to work in Windows 8.1 as well as getting the cwm to install. Currently I'm using ShaunMT's twrp and trying to update the kernel because let's face it the kernel in the stock rom is horrible.

Hey Guys,

So i went ahead and flashed this ROM to my NX785QC8G-R and now Its stuck in a bootloop.

I did not create a dump/recovery img, unfortunately. So now Im here asking for help.

I researched and tried all manner of fixes/ diff ROMS etc to no avail.

Until i read some where that these ROMS are made for different boards even though they have the same R3188 Soc.

All the roms i found are for "ro.product.device=NXM865FD" but my device is NXM866FD.

Can you please help me with locating a ROM thats compatible with my device please.

I don't understand what good changing the mount points did. I've spent the last couple years off and on messing with this, trying various apps etc and nothing works. Everything installed still go's to the nand flash which is seen as external sd regardless of install location or anything else. So what gives ?
