Hi sir Oma, I've flashed this rom on my Pipo U8 and it boots fine, I followed the instructions I read on switching from Gen2 loader back to Gen1, after that what I did is I used a JellyBean kernel from my previously used rom and a Stock JellyBean recovery to format data/cache at first boot since CWM is not working for Pipo U8 as U8 doesn't have Volume Buttons, after it boots to to Homescreen I flashed a generic TWRP (1024x600 reso) for JellyBean and touch on twrp works fine,That UI on this is really fast and smooth, It was a smooth install and a smooth rom until I experience some bugs…
Now here's the problem…
-Wifi doesn't work
-Camera view finder is Inverted (viewfinder only not the camera UI)
-Bluetooth doesn't work
-MP3 doesn't play
I tried rebooting a few times but it still doesn't work
that is all the bugs and issues I can find, I can't seem to make aiolog work on my pc, I dont know why, so I can't provide you a logcot or dmseg… Is it possible to do a dmseg log from terminal emulator?
Hopefully you can provide a fix for this if possible alot of U8 users from our group have been wanting this one too...
Thank you sir for all your hard work!
Chuwi V88 build is for MTK 5931 wifi. Pipo U8 has RK903 wifi, which is not implemented.

Die CWM unterstützt Touch ... vielleicht dein Kernel auch. Ansonsten per USB-Maus.

Hi OMA, thanks for the great build!
I just loaded this into my V88S without quad in sn and works great with kernel #459. This was the kernel that came with the tab. My question is should I be using this kernel or kernel bob #419? Also is there any limitation to use stock kernel? Thanks again!
Here is a photo.
When you hardware is stable with kernel #459 stay with it.

I've just bought a chuwi v88 but it was delivered with 4,2,2
I try to understand how to flash it to 4,4,4 but I'm a little bit lost with all these kernels, loaders, room versions...
My v88 is rooted and CWM 6,0,3,1 is installed
it's a CW V88 QUAD
build rk30sdk-eng4,2,2JDQ39 eng.kevin20131123,163339tes-keys
Could you please confirm if this room is compatible with my actual system??
I thank you very much
2nd generation ... look to the back: no QUAD in the serial-number.
Latest kernel is #419.

Thank you for your quick answer, but I'm really lost
Step by step:
- first or second generation? It is written on the back:
chuwi model CW0838
- kernel: bob@bob-desktop #445 3,0,36+
May I change it? and how to proceed??
- which version of your custon rom may I download with such a V88?
Thank you very much for your work and your help
First gen has V88 QUAD 16G2 .... so your tab is 2nd gen. Latest kernel for your tab is #419.
Download the Pack from post#1 and decompress. Download kernel #419, decompress and replace in folder rockdev/Images. Flash acc. to instructions.txt.
