You haven't noticed that the build boots-up without issues ...

There is a native RTL (right-to-left) support in Android. You will find an option unter developer options (force RTL layout).

However, this is typically not implemented in the framework. So I guess UI will crash also after a reboot.

Ok, I guess I can patch the RTL issue. Tested for Hebrew and Arabian language. Pls test if it works for you: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=2332

Can sombody also test the Chrome red frame issue fix, there was a missmatch in that fix: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=2330

I've been studying this thread for hours (i'm a noob) and finally got it to work on 2 tablets.

(1 for the wife and 1 for the father-in-law)

But the 1 for me gets a flipped screen and touch oriëntation.

I tried to flash it 3 times, but it still gets flipped.

Do you know a solution?

Seems to be two different hardware revisions. What are the Serial Numbers?

Hello Oma and a happy new year to all.

I just got a chuwi v17hd with serial number Q8G1141200085 with no hdmi and hardware volume buttons.

Is it a generation 3 tab?   on kernel version it says : 3.0.36+   root@xingyu-desktop #814  Build number: rk3188-20141104

It came with no play store and you could not add a google account. I installed google play services apk and i was able to add a google account but the play store keeps crashing no matter what i try (Google paly store has stoped)

So after a lot of searching i ended up in this thread. Wil your build work ok on my tab? Also is there a way to backup the stock firmware for future use/safety fall back?

Also i noticed some weird behaviour, when i plug it to the charger the touch panel goes crazy and double taps keystrokes or other buttons are pressed along with the one originally pressed, if the charger plug is dissconected the tablet works ok. Anyone else has this weird behaviour?

Yes 3rd gen, build will work. Sounds like a hardware problem. Maybe kernel #848 can mitigate that.

Serial number for the one that's flipped is: Q8G1140900889

Serial number for the one that works with your build is: Q8G1140901881

Curious. Can you pls flash kernel #814 into the "flipped one"? See post #1.
