Most likely a defective NAND. I guess a clean installed build works for some time and then showing the issue?

Well, it happens on immediately on boot, when you configure language etc. it pops up/nags already.

But from testing a bit more it's not only those popups, there are also random reboots.

Would be nice to know what part/component on the inside to check or try to re-solder or something.

Changing language means there is something written on the NAND. You can try to change the NAND chip. However, this will most likely damage more than it helps.

Good afternoon,

Sorry for beating up a dead horse... but I installed your 3rd gen Rom 2 years ago for my Kids VI7 and it worked flawless untill yesterday...

Device got stuck on initial Chuwi image on booting and would not continue to your OMA rom anymore...

Tried clearing the cache - no avail

Tried factory reset - no avail

Tried factory reset without the extra SD card kept on formatting for 2 hours till I thought this is not ok and killed it with the power switch... (dumb mistake)

Since then there is no more life in the tablet, no recovery nothing...

Any way to unbrick our VI7 HD Q8G1141201251?

Thanks in Advance!

Sounds like your NAND has gone. Time for a new toy 😉

Tried to connect it to the PC androidtoolv1.37 finds device fine and writes fine.. just checking download fails @ 9291K

But have my cwm based recovery back V6.0.3.1

And it is restarting again... in the OMA logo and flashing I guess...

And it keeps showing a moving OMA image it goes past the lightning but is stuck there...

A defective NAND will give you such kinds of intermittently errors. Sorry.
