Hi Oma,

Thanks for your work. But, for me, it's not working (I'm on windows 8.1 x64 ).

When I try to boot in flash mod and click on "switch" button, I have a message : "device can not switch because of no drive". I have already installed USB drivers.

Do you think you have a solution?

Here is my serial number : Q8G1140900141

Thanks a lot!

EDIT : I found the solution for me. I switch my device with another program ("RKBatchTool V1.7"). After that, I just have to launch your program and follow the step in the .txt

Everything works well now.

Thanks again :)

Fine. However, curious because the two RK-Flashtools sending the same signal.

Win8.1 and the unsigned Rockchip driver are not friends ...

You can also use a key combination (see post #237) to start the tab into flash-mode.

Hi guys,

My new Chuwi V17HD is here and i've found this site at Google. So my questions are, what Version of the V17HD do i have here?

The SN is: Q8G1141201321

Hardware: no HDMI, Hardware-Volume-Buttons, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB ROM

The Kernel is: #613

The fact is, i've flashed your "2. Gen ROM" with the 613-Kernel and it looks it works good. Except two or three little things.

First is, sometimes i have flashing red borders at Chrome and i hesitate to flash the fix from your "3. Gen-Thread". I don't want to brick these device.

Second is, when i connect the charger, the Touchdisplay becomes nearly unusable. Ghostclicks, wild scrolling and so on happens.

Third is, since i've flahed your ROM, the YouTube-App won't log in to my account. It shows " An Error is accured". Maybe it's not the fault on your ROM, but it's happen since thisthis ROM was flashed.

Could it be, i have to use another Kernel? I'm a little confused by the different tablet-versions from Chuwi. I hope you can give me a hint...

By the way, is there a chance to charge over USB? If not, it wouldn't be a problem, but maybe it can solve the ghostclicks while charging.

Greetings from Krefeld and thanks for all your great work!

Still no answer? Impressive!

This tablet seems to be the worst crap. Now it becomes extremely hot when charging and starts to smell like burned plastics. And there is a extremely loud ticking or knocking sound from the speaker. This sound is there even when the tablet is switched off. It drives me crazy!

There is a soundfile with the recorded ticking sound. https://www.dropbox.com/s/oo0sgwkmybgvrof/PTT-20150526-WA0001.aac?dl=0

Ok, the new firmware for tabs starting with S/N Q8G1141100214 is provided on Chuwi forum: http://bbs.chuwi.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=253&extra=page%3D1

It includes a new kernel #848 preempt 26. Nov 2014.

Build is still old, compiled 7. Oct 2014. Display Id is a fake.

ro.build.id=KOT49H
ro.build.display.id=rk3188-20141127
ro.product.model=V17HD
ro.product.brand=CHUWI
ro.build.description=rk3188-eng 4.4.2 KOT49H eng.root.20140710.101113 test-keys
ro.build.fingerprint=rockchip/rk3188/rk3188:4.4.2/KOT49H/eng.root.20140710.101113:eng/test-keys

I will not do a new build, as build in post #1 adresses all what can be done. Let me pls know "bad" behavior of the new kernel, like other orientaion. I will do a fix.

Hi Oma,

Thanks for all yur work..

"Bad behaviour"in the build in the first post with the 848 kernel is that the OMA LOGO and the Android recovery menu are upside down.

Can yu do a fix for those please?

TIA
