There is an included driver assistant. Use an other usb port and run the assistant. Uninstall first, then install.

Hi Oma,

I changed the usb port, uninstalled (ok) & installed (ok) with the assistant. USB rock class + Android device drivers were installed.

I started the RKAndroidTool and rebooted the device pressing power + volume-up. Still I get the recovery tool on the tablet and No found-message.

I updated the FW last autumn from Aoson's official site. Kernel is 3.0.36+ (27-Sep-13) and FW is rk30sdk-eng 4.2.2 JDQ39 eng.root.20130927.170414 test-keys. Recovery system, which always gets activated, is 4.2.01. There are options to update e.g. from ADB. You may be familiar with this recovery system...

This seems to be tricky. I don't know if it is button sequence or something else - starts to be frustrating. Could I download the packages using recovery system or potentially update the device e.g. using linux machine - I have win/xubuntu dual boot pc's?

Many thanks for your great support - Jepa

Same usb flash driver.

Unplug the power supply and hard power-off (press power for about 12 sec, until screen goes black). Hold vol+ and plug power supply.

I tried hard power-off (pressed ~1 min), but the screen did not go black and M30Q did not boot. Options to shut-down, flight mode or silent mode were given...

Hm, does the tab have a Reset? Otherwise shutdown and try.

There is a reset button you can access with paper clip. I have pressed that and always the device goes to recovery system menu when power & vol+ are pressed.

This is the normal behaviour when the power supply isn't plugged.

Charging LED is constantly red indicating plugged charger. Still it goes to  recovery system menu.

Nope. It goes to recovery system menu...

I start to be desperate. Any other means to enter flash mode?

Hi,

I finally managed to get the tab to flash mode by pressin vol down instead of vol up.

Flashed the 30-Jun-14 version with which touch was inverted etc. Furthernore e.g. WiFi and BT did not work.

Flashed again with 05-Jan-15 kernel. Still touch does not work. Y->-X, X->Y. WiFi and BT do not work.

Any idea if these can be fixed? Many thanks for your support.

Jepa
