ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery easy install for RK3066 and RK3188 -- TWRP/CWM Flash-Tool and root for RK3288
Please donate to support OMA and CrewRKTablets firmware work, thank you !
Hi guys.
I want to tell you that I am moving my ROM builds to another page/storage. All other links will be removed.
I am doing it because I do not have the time to update all links in all threads that I am working/writing on.
So from now on you are able to download and follow development here:
http://debian-administrator.eu/android/cube-u39/custom-roms.html
This is my private server/page. This way all will be in one place.
Do not worry about download speed, because the server have 100 Mbps international upload/download speed access to internet.
Also there is the last v 2.2 release (from today 26.07.2014) and the useful apps in another archive.
There you will find also other useful apps, programs and tools for rockchip (http://www.debian-administrator.eu/android/rk-rockchip-tools.html)
Also the most of the articles are in Bulgarian, but the ANDROID part will be only in English.

Thank you for your work! First, I'd like to comment that I can't install v1.06 or iconBit rom in my tablet, it keeps rebooting and never completes the installation. So, I was very excited about trying your rom; I installed it and after several reboots the installation got completed, but it reboots very often. I know it is not your rom's fault; as I said, it happens with v1.06 firmaware an iconbit rom, so I have to assume is something related to v1.06 kernel.
Now had change to upgrade two U39GT tablets with latest (V2.2) vasil_d rom. Both suffered from random reboots (every 2-5min) Then flashed iconbit 1.1 sw kernel and both tablets are now running fine.
Atleast what comes to my mind that RAM OC isn't working on all tablets. If possible add some OC to RAM voltage also and could solve problem.
Still quite snappy SW.
It seems that deferent patches of cube u39gt have deferent ram modules installed/soldered.
Thats why may some tablets reboot. In my tablet used ram support much higher clocks that are set in the kernel used in my roms.
Soon i will come back from vacation and post new release. I will make 2 editions -with and without ddr overcklock. The.stepping will be the same.

I'll check if i can peacefully pry one of those tablets open and check what memory they hold inside.
Edit: Opened up and this is what i found out.
NAND Flash: SKHynix H27UCG8T2BTR-BC 64Gb(8192M x 8bit) MLC NAND Flash
RAM: SKHynix H5TQ4G83AFR-BPC 4Gb(512M x 8) DDR3 SDRAM
My NAND chips are Hynix and ddr3 ram modules SCSemicon.

NAND: SKHynix H27UCG8T2BTR-BC 328AA
RAM: XGZ955C3G-M
And I have random reboots with all 1.4 based rom and the new 1.06 rom with modded kernel.
Only stock 1.06 is stable but its laggy as hell.

By from your picture you seem to have same RAM and NAND as vasil_d Cube.

Have you tried Iconbit 1.00 or 1.01 kernels??
Please someone, when one of you open your tablets make a picture of the wifi antenna soldering point.
I fave the feeling that mine is very bad and I am planing to do some upgrade to the antenna.
So again if someone make and post of a picture of the soldering point to the board, I will be thankful.

Hi my friend. Again, thank you for your work. I'm useless at hardware, could you give me some instructions in order to open my tablet? I'd like to know which ram modules I have.Â
And, it would be possible that you mood a v1.04 kernel? I can't install any v1.06 rom.Â
Â
Best regardsÂ

Just take some dullknife or similar object which is thin but not sharp. Run it first at long sides between aluminum case and plastic case so it will pop up. After you have got long sides open work your way toward side with speaker slots. Carefully pry that side appart. Now you should have long sides and speaker end popped up. Then push aluminum cover towars side where the buttons side. It should just leave quite nicely without damaging any buttons.
Putting it back together is just reversing the order. Slide aluminum cover at the button side first so that power and +- button fits nicely on their slot. Once the button side is secured, then start pressing other side close.
It's pretty easy task if you are not in hurry. Just be calm and patient. Long sides open most easiest.
Have you tried Iconbit rom's if the work on you??

Thanks for your answer, I'll try it later. Â As I mentioned in previous posts, I can't install any v1.06 kernel rom, including the iconbit one. Now that I'm going to see the ram modules perhaps I'll find the answer.Â
Best regardsÂ

I re-read this thread again and there was actually discussion with you and Primus about those RAM tables
"because this kernel don't got the 667Mhz Table but 600 or 720"
So if the RAM is OC'd to 600 that's not near any supported speeds. It's between 533 and 667.
So maybe you are lucky that work with your tablet but others not.
I do not know am I lucky or not, but my girlfriend have the same tablet and I use my rom on it and it does not make any troubles at all. Her tablet was ordered 2 months after mine.
Anyways.
I am working right now on a workaround for the slow NAND speeds.
I decided to go with the EXT4 mount options. If you see the the default mount options for the tablet all the partitions are mounted with very "tight" options for many reasons and mainly for data consistency.
I am planing to disable journaling and other options for the partitions to speeding up the nand speed for small cost on data failure. No luck for now.
Is anyone able to help me with that job?
I have make a flashable via CWM zip file for that purpose but for some reason after restart the options/modifications are not in place.
Pleas if someone know how the mounting is done in RK3188 to help me. Also I am attaching my file for overview. Not for testing.
Also I have ordered TYCO antennas for replacing the stock WIFI antenna. Thats why I need pictures on the soldering point to the board. My GF is not allowing me to open her tablet. Woman...
