Because of the unified storage you cannot use mass storage. When you connect your device via USB you can access it as MTP from your computer.

Unified storage?

Is there any way to revert back to standard storage so that I can enable mass?  I dont have this issue on CM11 for other devices  :(

This is the only real issue I have noticed so far.

This isn't an issue. It is normally and wanted with some roms. For the Omni and CM11 rom for S7800B there is no way to change it.

But where is the problem ? You connect your device via USB and open its storages as an MTP device. You can access (copy to and from it) just like you are working with a mass storage device.

You can read more about this rom here:

It can cause many problems with programs because it's not shown as a real drive in Windows or other USB compatible devices.   Mass storage is just an all round much more compatible option for many scenarios.  It's not just for moving files.

Thanks for link.

Out of curiosity,  do you have any info on how you port the rom over to the S7800B?

When you want to make a rom from a similar hardware make running you need a lot of luck to find one that fits. Mostly you have to change the kernel. When the rom is booting you have to do minor changes for having the right rotation, resolution, camera, sound and partition tables. It's a bit tricky and I recommend to be sure to know what to do when playing with these things.

If don't want or can't use Tincore I believe that you can manually edit the keylayout to correct controller orientation. If I recall correctly the file is located at /system/usr/keylayout/generic.kl

Here is a little rundown. I'm at work and don't have my device with me right now.

1 - Use your preferred root file explorer and navigate to /system/usr/keylayout/ and look for the generic.kl file, backup it (copy and rename adding .bkp, .copy, .original to the end, use something easy to find if you need).

2 - Open the generic.kl file in you text editor and look for the keys corresponding to the DPAD. It should be around 100-something.

3 - The DPAD is rotated counter-clockwise which means you have to change the layout as follows:

UP->LEFT

RIGHT->UP

DOWN->RIGHT

LEFT->DOWN

3b (optional) - In the same file, swap the buttons A->B and X->Y.

4 - Save and Reboot. You should have the correct orientation now.

5 - Go to the first post.

6 - Hit thanks and done.

Note that for some games you still need Tincore to the right stick to work, but that solution should cover most games and emulators.

@ Oma

Thanks but your files did not do any changes.

@ Edzward

Thanks. These changes help to correct the Dpad. I will take it for the next firmware updates.

But I do not understand: Why isn't it possible to give the directions for axxis 3 and axxis 4 to the right analog stick. Which other files than the keylaout.kl and the keychars.kcm are reliable for the hardware buttons ???

Edit:

The GamepadTest app from Playstore shows the right analog stick as z and Rz. But it is not recognized in some android games like Dead Trigger 2. This should be possible to change anyway - but I don't know how ???
