Thanks Oma, I knew it would be something silly on my part!

I'll test it tonight and report back just in case anyone else is thinking of doing the same.

Hi Oma,

Sorry to be a pain but I've given you the wrong information previously!!  Flashing my tablet with 1.3.5 and my exisiting kernel means the tablet won't boot.  It's actually when I flash my tablet with 1.3.5 and my existing kernel and boot.img that the tablet boots up with the incorrect screen resolution, colours etc as mentioned in my first post.

I'm pretty certain that the kernel.img and boot.img files are OK as they work fine when I flash them together with 1.3.4

Is there something else I need to do also do you think?

Cheers.

Delboy, do you have a link to 1.3.5 as I'd be keen to test it?

This is not a CWM fix. Please decompress and flash the boot.img file with RK Flashtool.

Hi Bluesmanuk, sorry for the very late reply.  I just downloaded it from Oma's 10.1 thread (http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?p=1913) then I just used our existing kernel.img and boot.img files.  Let me know how you get on or if you have the same results as me?

Cheers.

Hi Guys,

Great work on this, I've flashed the 1.3.4 version and it's working fine.

Has anyone had any luck with getting 1.3.5 on the Archos 80 Cobalt?  I'm willing to try out and test but will need some guidance with the packaging.

Also what are the changes of getting a Kit Kat build working on this Tablet?  Is it feasible with the current stock kernal?

Cheers,

Kiz

Hi Oma,

Been using this build for a few weeks now.  Any thoughts on how the deep sleep issue can be sorted? Sometimes tab wakes up fine, sometimes even if I put on stand by I need to hard reboot.  Nosleep works but is a battery drain...

Not really. Deep sleep is always related to hardware/kernel. OS wise you could try if partial wake locks may help you: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.thedarken.wl

Oma/others. Found my Cobalt device in a drawer, old, unused, with a busted microusb, I say busted, it has broken off and fallen out of the tablet and been lost.

Microusb connection is now impossible for me without hardware replacement which isn't worthwhile due to the tablet age.

So I ask, do any of you know of a way to update my bootloader without the usb flash tool? I have CWM recovery installed which I did prior to leaving it in a drawer for months so I have the ability to flash the rom, but I think it impossible without updating the bootloader >.>
