Dear friends. I have extracted kernel.img from Aoson M11G usiing this rkflash tool by linuxerwang here
- the official M11G ROM link is here -
I flashed from a windows 7 box using the rkflash tool provided.
-replaced the kernel with my own kernel.img
-replaced your recovery.img with the generic ramdisk-only-CWM recovery from androtab here (your own recovery didn't work out - it wasn't mounting the sdcard, but it may be i made a mistake along the way there)
-installed format_NAND_fix
-installed 3g fix
-installed sdcard rw fix
Odys Genio Beta v1.3.3 Â boots up fine, wi-fi tested and working well. drivers installed nicely on win7 recognising my m11G as another device (nexus I think). I was able to use usb on the windows 7 but not Ubuntu yet. will keep trying.
Not working: audio - there is just no sound at all. i am aware the tablets have their own drivers. I tried remaking your 3g fix zip by adding all my system/lib content from the stock - the zip installed but the tablet went into a freeze (the aoson boot logo, no crewtablet animation). I flashed the M11G official firmware back and audio is working again.
I am keen to help out if I can. If you would like me to send you just the kernel, or another img I can do that later today.
Thank you for your hard work always!

I think it would be good to have a dmesg and logcat from stock rom.

Thank you for your response, JochenKauz.
Contained in Google Drive folder: Aoson_M11G
Output.txt's generated by "adb shell dmesg"Â "adb shell logcat".
Initial part of the log generated by linuxerwang's rkflashtool (NAND partitions)
Stock: boot.img, kernel.img, kpanic.img, misc.img and recovery.img

Okay, thanks.
Your kernel uses rk29_rt3261 as audiodriver.
Is it possible for you to provide also a dmesg and logcat from the custom rom?
So we can make a diff and look if we find something missing.

The m11g_genio_dmesg and m11g_genio_logcat are now in my google drive folder for your examination.
thank you.
(this time, i was unable to mount the sdcard from pc or recovery -- as a result, the nand format, 3g and sdcard fixes were not installed)

Hmm.. as far as I can see from logcat there must be problems with the alsa/audio-xx.so in system/lib/hw.
If I look at our rom, there are different files, that perhaps are not correct for your kernel setup.
What you can do is to copy from your old system.img the following files to the new system.img:
system/lib/hw
alsa.default.so
audio.a2dp.default.so
audio.primary.default.so
audio.primary.rk30board.so
audio_policy.default.so
audio_policy.rk30board.so
Perhaps this works.

Thank you for taking the time to check this for me. i wouldn't have known which files are relevant. Copying those files however, didn't work. I will try system/etc/audio_policy.conf and report back.Â
