7' inch screen
1024x600
1GB Memory
1.6GHZ Dual Core
4GB Storage
Front Camera 0.3MP
No Bluetooth
Mini HDMI
RK3066
Stock Kernel
Stock Boot Partition
I did install the AOSP build on it using stock kernel. So far wifi not working, rotation is backwards, couple FC's, brightness slider does nothing. If the screen dimm's, it stays dim till a reboot. That's about all I tested. I am sure there are other problems. I can provide images of whatever is needed to get better support. The system.img also seemed a little large compared to my stock system.img size. Stock = 608MB vs AOSP 640MB. So I looped/mounted it in ubuntu, deleted a few apk's I didn't need, and used DD to get a smaller image, and then flashed the system.img over. System.img is all that I flashed (had my own cwm).
Some notes about getting cwm to boot. I had to use a modified mkbootimg, because I guess crc checks are in place. WIthout crc value's inserted, recovery does not boot, and you are thrown into the bootloader.

Kernel source code was just released. I am sure this could help.

Pls try latest build: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?p=1913
Just change the kernel.
Do not touch the build, otherwise we cannot find out what is the problem.

Hi,
thanks for the source code, but unfortunately I think it is a crippled one. The config in the kernel uses drivers that are not available in the drivers directory.
But some other question... what are you looking for? I do not understand your initial posting.
You tried our system.img, but without using the normal flash process we recommend?
I think it will be very difficult to help you, if you merge up different img's that we don't know and that are not prepared to work together.
Wifi is always a tricky thing, because it depends on the wifi drivers used in the android version. Same thing with rotation. Often the driver rotates in one way, and the android driver rotates in another way. But this can be solved by trying the sensor fixes from us.

The kernel.img does contain no kernel. Maybe this is the problem.
Kernel is now in the archive: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=1307

I simply shrunk the provided system.img a bit. I did this because my stock system.img is a bit smaller then your modified system.img. I was being cautious of flashing a system.img that was bigger then my stock system.img. I flashed nothing else (used stock kernel and my own cwm). Should I have flashed more then just the system.img?
But I just tested 10.1 (linked above), without resizing the system.img. Using stock kernel (3.0.8 I believe), as that's all I have. It did boot but is getting a phone force close before locking up.. rebooting, etc..

You need to do a clean install incl. eraseIDB. Parameter in the download package will define a new partition-layout.

1: eraseIDB
2: Flashed everything (used the kernel you provided)
3: Booted into cwm, and factory reset
Pretty much as soon as I unlock the lockscreen, it's rebooting. But I am no longer seeing that FC. Several reboot tries later I finally got into the system, selected Nova as the launcher. Navigated to the settings to change the language. But before I could, more reboots.

Did you run the format_NAND_fix?

I did. No luck. AOSP runs much better on this tablet. Just no wifi, brightness adjust does not work, when the screen goes dim, it won't brighten back up, and the rotation is off. That's about all I tested.
When enabling wifi it turns on, scans, turns off, repeats. This was on aosp v3.3

This is nearly the same tab then my Odys Genio (Pipo S3). When your kernel is properly done by the producer the build will run. Try again incl. eraseIDB. Use the download-pack as is, just change the kernel.

Oma,
I need help with this tablet as well. I erased IDB and applied format NAND fix 10.1 and I am still getting error "I:Can't format unknown volume: /emmc" in log.
Do I have a bricked block (damage) in emmc? Do you recommend a .zip file that can check and fix internal sdcard? Or describe ADB procedure with command or tool?

Do a clean install incl. eraseIDB using stock recovery first: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=1036
