Hi Oma,

Firstly my compliments on the work you and the crew from crewtablets are doing, great!Laugh

I have created a backup from my tablet (Medion lifetab E10316) with Kunbuntu/rkflashtool.

Command: ./rkflashtool r 0x2000 0x344000 >backup.img. I also saved the parameters from this so when needed I could go back to the original state!

After that I flashed the kitkat RK30 Rom with the Kernel for this tablet from this forum.
Everything went oke and I now have my tablet on KitKat. But the Kernel was from a German Tablet and I have bought mine in Holland. So now everything is in German.Confused

I was thinking, is there a way to extract the kernel from the backup I have made and flash it back to my tablet so that my tablet becomes "Dutch" again. Or is that not the way to go?

And last but not least...Would it be possible to get the bluetooth working on the RK30 KitKat build? And if Yes then how to go about?Embarassed

Thanks for your reply.

Best regards,

Crowlertoo

Go to Einstellungen > Sprache & Eingabe > Sprache.

What is the wifi-chip? Open a terminal and type: cat /sys/class/rkwifi/chip

He Oma,

thanks for the quick reply! After reading this I feel somewhat stupidEmbarassed.

because I never thought this would be within the setup area of the tablet. After the last reboot after flashing it came up with the german language so I assumed that was the only option.

I tried what you asked for but I get an error "/system/bin/sh: cat/sys/class/rkwifi/chip: not found"

Any idea why?

Hi Oma,

On dmesg I get an "Operation not permitted".

I will try to fix this by setting the ristriction to "0".
I hope this command within the Terminal would do the trick?

echo "0" > /proc/sys/kernel/dmesg_restrict

Am I correct?

<4>[ 45.787982] Current WiFi chip is AP6210.

Ok, fine. Now BT. Boot tab fresh and try to switch BT on/off a few times. Do the logs.

Can't really see what's going on.

Try to install this via CWM: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=1669

Oke,

installed CWM, went into cwm and installed the zip file.
I can see no change regarding the bluetooth issue. Still a sort of greyed out when I try to turn it on. After a while it turns automatically back to "off".
