Sorry for my bad english
I installed 1.3.3 version on my GoClever R83.2 (Mediacom 875S2) and brightness adjustment not worked for me because system trying to write brightness level to
I have mounted system.img to my file system and using grep I found this path using in compiled library /system/lib/hw/lights.rk30board.so
Then using HEX editor I replace only two bytes (in text: 28 -> 30) and IT WORKS!!!
Now I have not time to build patch, but may be one of you can do it?
Download and replace your lights.rk30board.so
Flash your device used patched system.img (1.3.3 Oma's image. only this lib replaced)
ACHTUNG!!! Don't forget: you must set permissions to this file!
it possible from terminal or via adb: chmod 777 /sys/class/backlight/rk30_bl/brightness
Tomorrom I will try to build patch for using via CWM

Great find uncoder.
Just thinking about another way to fix the problem without patching files, would it also work by making a symlink from /sys/class/backlight/rk28_bl/brightness to /sys/class/backlight/rk30_bl/brightness ?
@up in init.rk30board.rc i found this line:
chown system system /sys/class/backlight/rk28_bl/brightness"
so i'll try change it to:
chmod 0777 /sys/class/backlight/rk30_bl/brightness"
F**k yeah! I fixed the permissions. Now it works perfectly on every boot . Now boot.img must me flashed with RKAndroidTool v1.35.
I hope I fixed it right the brightness:
Can anyone please test it?
