And if something goes wrong, how can I restore original FW? Just replace *.img files in rockdev/image with dumped files I uploaded?

looks like I bricked my tablet.

After info "Download Image OK" i plugged out tablet from PC, and it's not reacting to power button...

When I plug it to PC there's a info about not recognizing USB device.

AndroidTool 2.1 says No Found Any Devices.

RIP in pieces Manta MID901 (*)... Or maybe not?

Hm, the dumped kernel.img is either empty or corrupted. Here is the kernel splitted from boot.img: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=2642

Try again. Start the tab into flash modus via key combination.

You can load files by ticking on the empty box at the end of the line.

Untick the loader before flash.

Flash was successfull on a 2 LOOK tablet. All works good.

Thank you Oma.

Just one question, is there any hope of a KitKat ROM for my device? I sent you my ROM build earlier.

Fine. KK needs a selinux kernel, which is not available for your tab.

Hello,I try to dump the stock kernel with Terminal Emulator (with the method you provided) and I get a 12mb kernel.img. When I try to pack it with WinRar it is only 6kb. Do you think there's something going wrong?

Hello,

The file looks quite "empty" and that explains the high compression ratio. The dump was probably done on the wrong partition.

Oma may provide you a more complete explanation and guidance Wink

Cheers.

Alright, thanks for your reply! I'll wait for Oma's guidance.

I just want to share that when I write on terminal "ls -al /dev/block/mtd/by-name" I get the partitions table and it seems like the kernel is indeed on mtdblock1.

Also, I would like to ask you if it is normal that all the dumped files have a whole number as size, for example 12mb or 700mb instead of 12.43mb or 713.76mb.

Kernel.img is indeed empty. So we will find a kernel in boot.img and recovery.img.
