Hi Oma7144

I just bought a 7" tablet in Argentina named TITAN 7074me which is based on a Rockchip 3026 very similar in external aspect as the Cube U25GT2. How can I know if your custom rom is compatible with my tablet.

The default Android in my tablet is 4.2.2 and I want Kitkat.

http://www.titantablet.net/index.php/es/component/virtuemart/espanol/tablet-es/modelo-pc7074me-7-es-detail?Itemid=0

I also have a little concern with the screen resolution that shows me circular things like an oval and that fix that since is very annoying and need some help to fix it if possible

If you need some logs please tell me how to obtain them and I will post the link.

Thank you so much in advanced

Santiago

Logs see post #13. You need to root the firmware first.

Ok, Newport Media NMC1000 wifi.

Download a Terminal Emulator from Play Store. Boot the tab fresh and type:

su
cat proc/cmdline >/mnt/sdcard/cmdline.txt
cat proc/mtd > /mnt/sdcard/mtd.txt
dd if=/dev/mtd/mtd1 of=/sdcard/kernel.img bs=4096
dd if=/dev/mtd/mtd2 of=/sdcard/boot.img bs=4096
dd if=/dev/mtd/mtd3 of=/sdcard/recovery.img bs=4096
dd if=/dev/mtd/mtd8 of=/sdcard/system.img bs=4096

Upload the files. I will check.

Ok, the Titan 7040me is a full clone of the Cube U25GT2-T and the Chuwi V17pro ;-)

Kernel chen #237 is here: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=1874

Use the U25GT2-T build as is, incl. the kernel.

so I should use your 4.4 KK build for the U25GT2-T and include my CHEN237 kernel? or just flash your build build without changes?

this is just to be sure of what I have to do ;).

P.S.: do you have flashing instructions? I've just only rooted and flashed a Nexus7 2012 which was very easy. That was my first and only Android experience so far.

Thanks a lot Oma!!

Flash the build without any changes. Kernel chen #237 will not boot the KitKat build.

Instructions are included in the download-pack.

Hi again Oma,

just flashed fine but there is a problem with the screen. it seems that the showing image is bigger that the screen and it does not recognize the button touch in the area where the button is. is there a way to fix that?

Thanks!

it seems that the problem is that that your ROM is set to work on screen with 1024x600 resolution and my screen is 800x400.

is there a simple way of fixing this? like editing the rom and flash again or edit the file in the tablet using my computer since using the tablet is almost impossible.

Thanks!

Hm, normally the kernel should do that automatically.

Pls try the attached app. Maybe this is a solution.

This is really weird, I have the same resolution as your screenshot but it seems that vertical and horizontal are inverted. I tried the reverse, 480x800 and is the same. Also I the screenshots that i've took are still in 1024x600 resolution. don't know what else to do here...

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot
