– load kernel modules > enable init.d ON in Pimp my Rom (reboot)
– to get full access to the build enable /system rw in File Manager HD
– to disable su notifications change notification in su app

Flash instructions are included in the download pack.

This is a gen2 loader firmware.
Be aware: it is your own risk!

Most likely the old model. Kernel is here: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=1703

Try the JB build using that kernel.

I tried JB build using that kernel and my problem was resolved. It works. Thank you very much. Good luck in future developments :)

p.s. wi-fi does not work.

First of all: Thank you very very much for your Roms.

It's very fast and smooth

But unfortunally Wifi didn't work on my device.

I'm on your JellyBean ROM with the Kernel linked above, just like Alcatraz.

KK ROM gives me the same screen like Alcatraz. 1stGen Device too.

Here's my dmesg from the wifi problem on JB:

Thanks in advance!? ;)

That worked like a charme

Thx again!

Had to do a factory reset after flashing the zip, but now it works

Any chances this KK build will ever work on the 1stGen devices?

Fine.

A factory reset should not be necessary.

For KK we need a kernel with selinux on. Maybe someone could provide the kernel sources?

My wifi toggle had no function ... whatever, the factory reset fixed it.

Although I'm not new to flashing (started with wm6) my skills in programming are lame.

I'd love to help you (&myself) with the kernel

Sorry, but everytime I restart my Chuwi, I have to do a factory reset to make wifi work again.

Wifi won't turn on.

What could be the cause?
Can I intergrate your fix into the complete (JB) ROM?

Thanks in advance

Off-topic, but.. Oma7144, what would it take to port this Android 4.4.2 kernel/rom to a similar tablet, the Lenco TAB-705: http://www.lenco.com/nl/p/tab-705-2/

I'm reasonably proficient with ADB if you need any data from the tablet. Feel free to contact me however you like.

btw, what about F2FS for the /data partition? It works great on Moto G.
