Hello,
A friend of mine asked me to update her Aoson M19 tablet with 3G. I would like to try CM10.1 but I don't know which kernel to use. I see there are 4 different ones, here: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?page_id=208&wpfb_cat=2#wpfb-cat-2
Also, which is the standard way to flash a rom. Is it right like this?
1. download the rom here: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?p=1873
2. download a kernel for Aoson M19 and put it in the archive above.
3. Open RKTools --> Erase IDB --> Run.
4. first boot into CWM (how?): install format_NAND_fix from sd-card
5. reboot.
Anyone can help me?

Hi,
unfortunately there seems to be 4 different kernels for Aoson M19, so you would have to try every one if one matches your tablet.
BUT(!) do you have a flashable stock rom of the tablet? If not, you risk a bricked tablet.
General procedure to flash a RK2918 tablet:
1. download the rom and format_nand.zip
2. extract the 7z to a place of your wish (there will be 3 directories in it) and place format_nand.zip on a sdcard (put it after that in the tablet)
3. download the kernel
4. extract kernel 7z and copy it to rkbatch\image (overwriting the kernel.img in that directory)
5. start rkandroidtool (folder RKAndroid_v1.29) with administrative rights
6. make a tick on parameters
7. boot up your tablet in flash mode (rkandroidtool writes found rk loader...)
8. tick EraseIDB and wait until finished
9. tick RUN and wait until finieshed
10. the tablet will reboot into CWM automatically
11. in CWM choos install zip (external sd)
12. choose format_nand.zip from your sdcard and install it
13. after install reboot tablet from CWM, choose reboot now in menu
14. the tablet will reboot and you have to wait roundabout 8-10 minutes for the first start (the dalvik chache will be filled)
15. thats it, close rkandroidtool
If tablet does not boot, download next kernel and start on point 4 again.

If you have a stock rom, then, yes it would be possible if it is a 3.0.8+ kernel.
