What ROM do you suggest I should try for a Lexibook MFC415fr? What other info would you need to determine which ROM would be best? I use "hardware info" apk, and it gave device ID rk29sdk... I also can get into recovery mode too...

We need the tab specific kernel. Is the stock firmware available?

The kernel is listed below I got it under proc/version

(Linux version 3.0.8+ (fb@sc-development-android)(gcc version 4.4.0 (GCC)) # 175 PREEMPT fri Sep 28 20:5327 CST 2012

In regards to stock firmware no.. Searched everywhere no dice.... I suspect  that I may do something like install clockwork mod, and do a image dump... Before I do that do you recommend a version of clockwork mod that is pretty safe, and can be installed via the recovery mode, or suggest another method to try and get an image? I cannot connect via USB cable, during recovery mode to see it I can do some ADB commands... The pc does not recognize it or even show it as a unknown device. though after it boots I do see it as another USB drive.

Thanks!

You need root.

Download a Terminal Emulator from Play Store. Boot the tab fresh and type:

su
dmesg >/mnt/sdcard/dmesg.txt
cat proc/cmdline >/mnt/sdcard/cmdline.txt
cat proc/mtd > /mnt/sdcard/mtd.txt

Upload the files. I will check.

See files attached.. I was denied permission for cat proc/cmdline....

Is there another way for me to get that information?

Ok, next is to dump the firmware:

dd if=/dev/mtd/mtd1 of=/sdcard/kernel.img bs=4096
dd if=/dev/mtd/mtd2 of=/sdcard/boot.img bs=4096
dd if=/dev/mtd/mtd3 of=/sdcard/recovery.img bs=4096
dd if=/dev/mtd/mtd8 of=/sdcard/system.img bs=4096

Upload the files to a file hoster and post the link here. I will check.

Tried and was given permission denied.. Is their another method via recovery mode? looked at recover mode it only seems to be one way "recovery systems from backup" and update rkimage from /sdcard...

Hm, you did a dmesg log. So you must have lost su rights in the meantime. Look at the Superuser app if the terminal still have permissions.

Hey guys.

First, sorry if I should have posted this in another topic/forum, but I couldn't find anything for my particular device.

Lexibook Tablet Master 2 MFC157NO

rk2928

ARM Cortex-A9

Mali-400 MP

I have successfully rooted, and flashed CWM-recovery v6.0.3.1 (Followed guide from xda/androtab.info).

My question is: would my device be compatible with anything ? :)

No, the rk2928 was never supported by the community. Sorry.
