You have to:
Dump the current rom.
Modify the system.img adding the supersu, and su binary.
Re-flash the tablet with the new modified system.img

No, it is not that simple, and also the wildfire was first rooted using a script, after which the cwm, was compiled using some appropriate files. The architecture of the 7i G3 is totally different from the wildfire.

i can understand that it's different, just was wondering if there is a similar way to root the arnova 7i g3. and for the wildfire i didn't use a script, just unlock bootloader with the help of the htc website (maybe tht's what u are talking about), flash recovery with adb commands and then install SU.zip from the recovery. tht's all. anyway my phone isn't the problem there. Any link to know the right way to dump and modify the arnova system.img ?

When you unlock a HTC phone via their website, that does not mean that is rooted, you unlock it to have access to re-write the stuff on the phone (unlocking the bootloader) The recovery image that you flash using fastboot was developed by someone else which obtained root using a type of exploit, then having access to dump the stock recovery.img from which he started to build the cwm.
On the rockchip tablets, the fastboot mode is a proprietary mode, it is not locked, and is not accessible using the usual fastboot commands.

ok, just back on the real topic now. first thx for the links. But i dnt know if i'm going to work on linux or windows because i don't have linux on my computer at the moment. Anyway if really need linux i got a live cd and i still can install linux with dualboot. i've done a quick look on your links (will read more after) but already have some questions. When i got the system.img, how can i modify it ? i don't know how to edit .img format. Then, arnova give the initial firmware on arnovatech.com in a update.zip format. can i use that ? last question, do i need a special version of the su binary or any su will work ?
Thanks for your help

any supersu/superuser and su binary will work.
At some level, the editing of the system.img is covered here in post number 4
http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/arnova-7c-g3/arnova-7c-g3-dev-topic/
You don`t need to create e separate system.img, just to edit the current one

you havn't answer if i can use the zip firmware on arnovatech to have the system.img. anyway i've done a quick look again, and with the links u give me, i need linux. so i have try with my live cd, install what is needed but got a low space warning message and so the dump got freeze and i needed to force reboot. So i'll install ubuntu on dualboot and will dump from there. I'll do that later but just tell me if i'm right in what i need to do.
dump current system.img (with sudo ./rkflashtool r 0x00100000 0x00354000 > /tmp/system.img)
mount system.img and add su binary and superuser (in system/xbin and system/app ?)
flash system.img (but how exactly? something like sudo ./rkflashtool w /[path]/system.img > 0x00100000 0x00354000 ?)
and that's all am i right ? any precautions before do it ?
Again thanks for your help and sorry for my English.

you need to dump first the parameter block, open it and find out which hex numbers you need to put in to dump the system, I would advise you to dump the kernel/boot/recovery/system in this way you will be able to restore your tablet.
After you dump the system, you mount it, put the su/supersu files, set the permissions and ownership (google this one )
If the firmware from arnova`s website is an update.img you can use that one, tough you need to fragment it in smaller pieces that are contained in it.

hmmm... got a little problem. i have dump kernel, boot, recovery and system and of course the parameter file to know where to dump (strangely gedit wasn't able to open that parameter file but openoffice have open it). first 680 Mio for system.img but the real problem is i have use the "mount -o loop system.img system/" command but without success. it say need to specify the file system... tried to add -t ext4 but dnt work.

get the value of mount, via adb shell and see what type of file system is the system partition.

2013/07/19

/dev/block/mtdblock7 /system ext4 ro,noatime,nodiratime,barrier=1,data=ordered,noauto_da_alloc 0 0
hmm ext 4 so what should i do now.
oh and just to know, do u know the manual way to have the 7i g3 in flash mode ? because i use the adb reboot bootloader command actually. tried some combination with reset + power or vol + / - but didnt work

sorry, I don`t know the combination on this tablet but it may be worthy to try like this :
Method 1 :
disconnect the tablet from any power source
shut down the tablet (use the reset)
press the reset key and power button and while you keep them pressed insert the usb cable
Method 2
disconnect the tablet from any power source
shut down the tablet (use the reset)
Press the volume key + or - and the reset button and while you keep them pressed insert the usb cable.
Upload the parameter file, maybe admin will have a look and give us some guidance.
