Any solution to get back the volume buttons (softbuttons) because the 9G2 has no hardware volume buttons.

So the missing of the software buttons is a little frustrating ;-)

Installed on a Arnova 9G2 – problems with Camera …..I´ve removed the Icon from home Screen because after starting of the camera app i´ve got the error message "No Memory" (German: Kein Speicher) No external Memory available (Kein externer Speicher verfügbar)

So i removed the Camera icon from the Homescreen —-- but the camera icon also dissapeared from the app menue all apps

Second Problem is that i can´t view pictures from the inserted SD card – if i open the galerie i can see folders in the background and i get an error message No Memory – No external Memory available

Any ideas how to fix this?

This looks like my problem on the 7G2. I suggest using his 1.2 version for now.

for the soft-buttons there seems to be no solution at the time. I use the app button savior for now

First, thank you all for error reporting

Fix error message "if i open the galerie i can see folders in the background and i get an error message No Memory – No external Memory available"

edit the file vold.fstab

Line to modify

dev_mount sdcard /mnt/sdcard auto /devices/virtual/mtd/mtd9/mtdblock9

With

dev_mount sdcard /storage/sdcard0 auto /devices/virtual/mtd/mtd9/mtdblock9

For volume buttons

Easy install,If there are errors uninstall

Another question related to opengl ES support: any idea how to have version 2.0 instead of 1.2 ? (because it seems in your rom you are still using 1.2 lib; not sure if you can confirm ? )

the only line that nearly matches : dev mount flash/mnt/sdcard auto …………..the rest…

Viewed with root explorer \etc\vold.fstab

Hmmmmmm

my mistake or a typo ?????

But thanks anyway….. i´m going to flash the 1.2 and compare the vold.fstab files ….maybe i can extract both versions from the *.img files … never did this before but i think there will be a way to do so!

looking forward to flash the next version ;-)

First of all: thanks for the great work.

I am using a Arnova 8G2 with V1.2 – working fine so far.

Now I am trying to get VPNC to work. I installed a tun.ko (found by an app tuninstall). So I am able to establish a connection but than the tablet crashes (reboot).

My be I got the wrong TUN kernel module.

Does anyone complied a tun module for the current kernel ? Does the current curnel support a tun module ?

Hi all

Actually i can not flash any firmwareversion – the tablet is not reconized anymore by the pc

Tried 2 different PC´s

By pressing menue+power whilst pushing reset – the PC say unreconized USB device

After releasing the reset button the green android robot appears on the screen

Is there any other way to flash???

for example via sd card? Some other devices are capable to load an update.zip or update.img direkt from

a sd card

Is there any procedure to go back to ICS…… i am now on morka 1.3 on an arnova 9g2

i have to go back because on this release of JB angry birds is not working – but it was okay on ics 4.04

My kids are killing me

yes i´ve already read that thread………

but it was running fine on ics……okay maybe it was an older version which i had installed

But anyway there must be a reason for my flashing problem

I´ve upgraded the tab from the original 2.3.x to custom ics kastny04-04 by Rockchip_batch_toolV1.5

played around a bit (a week or so) and finaly upgraded to morka jb 1.3 by RKAndroid_v1.29….

all went fine but now i can´t flash it with any of this methods…..

it would be very nice to get back the option to flash it again for upcoming new projects or for fixes

Hadn't had time to flash 1.3 and test it, so my vold.fstab is also still on version 1.2.
For all those on 1.3 that have some problems these are the lines of 1.2 vold.fstab, that actually do something and aren't commented out.

dev_mount flash /mnt/sdcard auto /devices/virtual/mtd/mtd9/mtdblock9
dev_mount sdcard /mnt/external_sd auto /devices/platform/rk29_sdmmc.0/mmc_host/mmc0
dev_mount udisk /mnt/usb_storage auto /devices/platform/usb20_host/usb /devices/platform/usb20_otg/usb

@LowbytesI'm also having a bit of trouble to reflash the same or another rom on my 8G2, out of 10 tries to get RKAndroid_v1.29 to know my tablet, about 1 try works, in the other 9 times i just land by the green android.
Somehow the tablet now need super timing to get it done.

Angry Birds, Angry Birds Space and Bad Piggys work without problems here, still have to try Rio and Star Wars.
Also most of them seem to require an internet connection to work.

This is the main problem that I've found in the roms Jelly Bean for RK29… when connected to a PC in Mass Storage mode, only one device is shown, nand-flash or sdcard (external). Probably as result that Google tablet have no external sdcard.

Connected to PC, only in MTP mode are shown both storages, but filtering some files (multimedia).

Morka have started using the new commands for Jelly Bean (/storage/sdcard0/… 1… 2… and so on (that's for multiusers)) supposedly /storage/sdcard1/ is for external sdcard. Lots to study yet in this topic.

Anyway Morka works is really good. Thanks for that!!!

DaremoS for nand-flash the problem is as a safety
W / MountService (255): getSecureContainerList () called When storage not mounted

The problem is since flashing of your 1.3 version my Arnova 9g2 is absolut unresponsible for any flash try

None of the known methods is working.

Nothing changed on my computer equipment ……. Any ideas how to get back the option to flash

with any version???????
