Gotta try that fixed Launcher2Laugh

Found out that this popping noise of the speakers on my AN8G2 not only occurs after lock of the system, but kinda regularly during standby, around every 30 minutes. Tried to check logact if maybe something is shown there and it always shows these lines:

E/Lights ( 239): write_int failed to open sys/class/leds/rk29_key_led/brightness
W/bluedroid( 239): open(/sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0/type) failed: No such file or directory (2)
W/BluetoothService( 239): Bluetooth is power down, reset
I/bluedroid( 239): Stopping bluetoothd deamon
E/bluedroid( 239): Failed to create bluetooth hci socket: Address family not supported by protocol (97)

I am trying to make a test of battery life,I realized this crude during standby mode (I'll try to correct this little bug)
thank you to you all these error reporting

Hi bukaneri

no they are not included in this version

MorkaMod JB Final V1.2 works well but like to post F636y623

I gathered the patch here http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/arnova-g2-general-discussions/morkamod-jb-android-4-1-1-jelly-beanall-g2-and-g3/#p15127

2 minor things I noticed:

1. The launcher sometimes shows some graphical glitches when moving apps icons around.

2. There is a popping noise of the speaker, around 5 seconds after the tablet screen disables and locks it self, or if I lock it, and some seconds after the first pop comes another pop noise. Sounds when touching or locking are disabled.

Test AntutuBench

Copied the Bluetooth.apk to system/app with Es File Explorer, in this directory it doesn't show the bluetooth icon, but the icon that appears when a "package could not be parsed" and then I restarted the system but the pop noise is still there.

I also noticed, before or after adding the apk file, that the speakers seem to be constantly on when the tablet is not in standby, emitting a hissing noise audible when putting the ear very close to the speakers. When you lock the tablet, some seconds later a first pop disables the speakers, and the hissing is gone... then after a moment it pops again and speakers are back on. This enabling and disabling of the speakers then continues kinda randomly on different times during the standby.

Still no change in behavior here.

I guess I'll reflash the whole ROM tomorrow, maybe that helps :)

Edit: Reflashed the whole ROM, problem still persists.Cry

It seems that the kernel provided in the first post does not universally fit for all 8G2 Versions.
Oma7144 had a look on my dmesg log file and pointed out those lines:

<3>[    3.305426] WM8900 0-001a-1: Failed to add route HP_L->Audio Out
<3>[ 3.311448] WM8900 0-001a-1: dapm: unknown pin HP_L
<3>[ 3.316427] WM8900 0-001a-1: dapm: unknown pin HP_R

So I need to find another fully working kernel.img

Well, I'm a newbie too :)

Some other things I noticed:
- trying to use the A8G2 as mass device over usb on my pc results in an infinite loading circle on the device.
- sound poping noise isn't there, as long as wifi is on, but the hissing sound persists.

I tried some other Arnova and Nextbook kernels but couldn't test for the usb/sound problems, as with those kernels touch screen and hardware keys didn't work.

I'll just add my dmesg log here. In the log, dont know if its normal that the tablet wants to load 2 soundcards o_O
Maybe Morka has the time, patience and an idea what to do, that would be cool.

I know that this sounds stupid but I'm getting confused here. I'm using the Arnova 7 g2 and I'm using the ICS Rom of Arnova 7i g2.

There are something I don't really understand:

- Is this rom fully functional? Are the wifi and sensors problems fixed?

- Do we use Clockwork mod to install this rom? Or what?

Thank you very much, sorry for being a dummies ==!

@tunglxx226: AFAIK each of the devices has some different sensors and hardware and therefore needs a kernel working with it and some different library files.

So for using this ROM with your Arnova 7G2
1. You need Linux version 3.0.8+ compatible Arnova 7G2 kernel, can be found with using the search
2. you have to backup the stuff mentioned in the first post from your ICS ROM (I would also note/backup the files owner:group and all rwx permissions... just in case, if you're saving/copying the stuff not on sd card but on windows harddisk, it could be messed up)
3. Use the provided rockchip flasher tool to flash ROM+Kernel, detailed HowTo should also be found with search
4. When it's up and running, you must overwrite the existing files, which are working for Arnova 8G2 ,8G2i 4Go and 8Go devices, with the backup files you made (and set permissions if messed up), so that your sensors and wifi will work, after a reboot.

@flyer: well, if there actually is a 3.0.8 compatible resistive kernel for your A10bG2, than I guess it could work.
