The Rockchip flasher tool on the Blog article (see link in this topic's first post) has been updated an now includes Win7 64bits drivers.
Here is a direct link as well:

I tried to upgrade my arnova 10 g2 and it failed at the following step :
Download Firmware start
Download firmware failed.
I then tried to flash the original firmware and I get the exact same error.
I use win 7 32 bits.
Any clue?
Now my arnova screen remains black.
No way to power it on.
petrus, not sure you will get help here, as you said this site does not seem fair

haha. Ok, 1point for you. I just agree with finless about your comment on his rom giving people the impression that his rom is a old thing not maintained, whereas he still does a lot of work on it.
Sorry if my comments upset you, but I really think the message about your rom and his could be clearer : just add "here" after not maintained 😉 But it's only my opinion.
If you still have an idea about my problem, I would be glad.
But I have little hope. I think my best chance is to return my device which seems to have a NAND issue.
And, to be fair, your site is not so bad as it is the only one to provide directions about using linux to upgrade.
And thanks for the quick reply 😉
Glad you clarified your thoughts.
I believe there has been a lot of misunderstanding between finless and me, also lots of erroneous (not verified) things that have been said around the firmware story, I really regret it all turned so bad, but well ... that's not the point in this topic
Based on what you tried and what has been said on your problem, I also think about a driver/cable/usb port issue, where it's not functioning properly. It's very rare but it happened to a few users already. If you already have checked everything in that area, the only option left if to try flashing the device on another PC that is known to work with Rockchip flashing tools or have (another) properly working Arnova 10 G2 device flashed on your setup. I understand this isn't the easiest thing to do... but that's the only option I see to make sure it's a problem on your tablet, probably NAND memory related.
If you can't return your device to the shop and live around Paris, maybe I can get you some help.
Cheers.

thanks, that's very kind of you. I tried the same things on 2 different PCs with the same error. Really seems like a hardware pb. I really wanna try upgrading with linux though, as my last chance. But I wonder : do you have a package with all scripts? I only found sources of python scripts on the wiki. Not very convenient to setup. Is there an easier way ro get it all? Thanks. And again thank you for supporting linux.
I have not packaged all the PERL scripts yet, but it shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes to cut & paste all of them.
Everything is under "Flashing the tablet with new parameters & image files" section in the WIKI
http://www.arctablet.com/wiki/index.php/Rksp
Scripts are made by Steve (Ttz642t) in the forum, we did not get a lot of users feedback on them but it looks like pretty good job.
You'll need a parameter file (or know all the images offsets) from the firmware for the scripts to work.
Edit: I recommend not to run Linux in the virtual machine to flash a firmware, as the VM may interfere with USB port handling.

Does the tablet screen gets black when pushing reset+(vol+) ?
