Hi, I have just bought the 9 g3 and am having a few issues, the main one being able to access the google play store.
I have installed it and it says it has installed successfully but when you click on the icon, the store flashes up and returns to the
previous screen. On arc tools it gives the option to download the lastest and the past 3 versions which it allows you to download
but when you try to install it, it comes up with error 20 & 28 " cannot creat temp directory, file copy failed" is it because of th
newness of the 4.0 platform? I can't ask arnova tech support as the model list doesn't include g3 ranges and this is required to contact e
The applib store is ok but it doesn't let me install my previously bought apps from the market. They worked on my 10 g2 but it bricked as iadjusted the firmware
Any thoughts or email addresses I can contact direct?
Cheers in advance

I am also curious to know where/when you got your Arnova G3 Wink

Arctools currently does not support G3 models, nor there are custom firmwares available, but that should come as soon as the devices are available. In the meantime, maybe this method will work... (even if it provides limited Market support).

I bought it from maplin in the uk. I didn't set up an account with aplib on my g2, I googled a firmware to install on it which had the market on it which I am registered to. I can acces the market on the browser but it just says I have the apps and they are compatible but doesn't give me the option to install them onto the g3. Its a great tablet but would have hoped for all of the bugs to be sorted before release. The 9g3 cost £199. Apart from the play store issue its well worth the cost. If I register on applib does it give me full access to my purchased apps from the play store?

You'll love it, the 4.0 platform outclasses the 10g2 with clarity and ease of navigation, good luck and keep me posted 🙂

Any luck with this?  I'm thinking of picking one of these up soon and would be nice to know that Google Play would be available.  Unless 'Onlive' is on appslib anyway?

as long as more people buy`s the device the developers will appear, we can`t develop on a device where we dont have usb drvers, so the more you buy, the more the producer will be forced to release the drivers 🙂

Personaly i wait for arnova 7c g3

No USB drivers on the G2/G3?  Does that mean noe external USB devices, e.g. keyboard?

Don't worry about USB drivers for ADB, if it's like for previous Arnova G2 and G1 it's just a matter of editing the INF file and setting to right VID and PID for the new tablet model.

No, does that mean, that you can`t make a firmware dump, and the adb interface will not work
The G2 has the usb drivers available
Each familly of products has a different driver.

On the side of the 9g3 it has 2 usb ports' a standard and a small one which works with my sony ericsson arc, it also has a mic, headphones and sd card port to increase to 32 gb, I don't have a usb keyboard but the touch screen keyboard is more than large enough to use. I have been asked to email some photos so a blog can be created about this model. As soon as they are on here I'm sure the admin will inform us of the post

Any luck with getting the Google Play Store on there?  I've gone ahead and ordered one of these, I've been waiting for an ICS version of the 9 G2 for a while so this will do.  Would love to get Google Play Store on there, just to get the Google Apps really.

Is it definitely restricted to 32Gb? I see that 64Gb MicroSD are available now.
