ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery easy install for RK3066 and RK3188 -- TWRP/CWM Flash-Tool and root for RK3288
Please donate to support OMA and CrewRKTablets firmware work, thank you !

2014/04/29

Firstly, thank you to Oma, CrewRK and the other contributors who worked on the CM10.1/RK2918 (http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?p=1873) release. You guys did a fantastic job.
It took me a couple of days to get the Tablet up and running again - mostly due to driver problems, so I thought I'd write a short step by step of what I did to get it successfully working on my tab. Windows 10 refused to play ball and would not recognise my device, so I booted up my old laptop running Windows 7 and encountered no problems.
Follow the link above and download:
Odys Loox cRom v1.2.4 (updated sources)
TabletUI
mount intSD to NAND
mount extSD to NAND
=========================================
format_NAND_fix
=========================================
Forgotten Tabs Project:
>>> kernel archive - go here for the '9G3 Arnova' kernel
=========================================
battery info fix
add usb-bluetooth support (all credits to yatto)
Now, download Rockchip DriverAssistant (the version I used is v4.4 from https://androiddatahost.com/c9vum). When it finishes downloading, unzip or open the folder and navigate to DriverInstall.exe
Right click this executable file and select 'Run as Administrator'
Select the option 'Uninstall'
Exit the program and reboot your PC.
Once Windows has loaded, navigate to the previous file DriverInstall.exe and again right click, 'Run as Administrator'.
Select the option 'Install'
Exit the program and reboot your PC.
Once Windows has loaded, locate 'kernel_308_9g3_arnova.7z' and unzip.
This will leave you with a kernel.img file or a folder which contains the kernel.img file.
Decompress/unzip CrewRKTablets_RK29_Loox_CM10.1_4.2.2_v1.2.4.7z and replace the kernel in folder rockdev/Image with the Arnova 9 G3 one.
Copy format_NAND_fix (and other fixes) to the tablet's external sd-card
If your tablet is running, either shut it down or use a paperclip in the 'reset' hole to power it down. You're going to use the 'Home' button to access 'Flash mode'.
*If you get Android on it's back with an Exclamation mark, you're in ADB/Fastboot mode and the device will probably not be recognised by Rockchip software tools.
Hold the 'Home' button down.
Plug in the usb cable between your PC and the Tablet (you should hear the notification sound from the PC)
Release the 'Home' button, the tablet screen will stay blank but shouold be in 'Flash mode'.
Run RKAndroidTool as admin:
a. EraseIDB,
b. tick Loader,
c. Run first boot into CWM (ClockWorkMod)
To run first boot into CWM:
Once RKAndroidTool has finished flashing the images, eject your tablet from the PC.
Hold down the 'Home' button and long press the 'Power' button until 'Arnova' appears on screen.
Release the 'Power' button, but continue to hold the 'Home' button.
Where previously the tab would have booted to Android on it's back with the exclamation mark, you will now boot into CWM console.
Vol + and - to move up and down, 'Power' button to select.
Select 'Install zip from sdcard'
Then 'choose zip from external sdcard'
Repeat until all fixes are installed.
Reboot and wait.
😉
