I've noticed nothing seems to be able to get my location from wifi, even the Google Maps from appslib. I have enabled the setting in Location Services in Settings, but makes no different. Is anyone else's working? Is this a common problem with Arnova tablets?
I know the location's available as my desktop gets it the same way, and Google Maps pinpoints me almost exactly.

I've just tried it on my g3, I downloaded the maps from mobile 1. It doesn't locate you even with the google locate feature checked, I'm just wondering if this is because it doesn't have gps on the tablet and its picking it up as a mobile device. I tried going into the settings but the program forced closed, hopefully its down to ics being such a new o/s it needs an update for the app to work it?

Google is able to locate using some internal maps they have of WIFI access points location, that's what the Location services settings are for. I don't have a precise idea of the root of the problem, if it's due to a buggy ICS firmware supplied by Arnova or some applications related problems.
I'll try to check that once I get a device.

That new Archos Carbon 97 firmware makes the location services work and gives 2GB for app installs. Really nice, but my battery level indicator has stopped working (sits at 100% all the time). If you can live with that, its worth installing.

Arnova 9 g3 - location service problem.
Download NetworkLocation.apk from https://www.box.com/shared/dj862kz001rqcekr8a75
Install networkLocation.apk and reboot.
