ok well today has been a good day without any crashes so maybe it was something I was doing. The firmware is working great and the android market is fantastic with great apps making the Arnova 9 G2 a brilliant tablet.

Hi,

I noticed market wont download anymore a few nights ago just thought it was as I changed my password. I just looked online & arnova 9 G2 is not listed in my devices anymore.

I have tried to refresh the market by going into Applications/All/Market but no market anymore there is a market updater.

Any help, why do they sell these things if they dont work Cry

These things aren't approved by Google and are not supposed to get Android Market / Google Play.

I'll have a look into the issue you are getting.

You can also check MorkaMod custom firmware, which should have a more stable Market:

Hello again,

Just got my Archos 80 G9 back from work & guess what..... yes same problem not seen in my devices in market.

it is a error code

"ROUTE 66 Maps + Navigation could not be downloaded due to an error. (921)"

I cleared cash or what ever its called in settings.

Now I switched my Arnova on & it updated to V 1.3.37 has the icon for the market with an advertising banner?? still wont work by looks of it, tried to download a game I allready had just to be told incompatable device.

UMMMMM  Dont know what is going on, think down to Google, Arnova has now appeared in my devices, downloading now. Even paid for the full version Surprised.

HI,

I just bought a Arnova 9G2 and was very disappointed when I realized I couldn't install an application that I needed and was only available on android market.  I discovered this blog and installed your firmware. That works very well. I needed a seconde reboot before google play worked, but now everything works fine !

thanks for you work

Done the Kasty EZ firmware upgrade, all smooth but cannot establish a reliable data connection to the server when logging into Play store - any ideas?

In the end I did a factory reset through the android settings menu - it actually resets using the Kast EZ firmware. Once I did that I immediately tried logging into the Play store and it worked first time - YEY. The market though was missing a lot of apps so I went into the Arctools app and did the Market reset and once I had rebooted went back into the market and all the apps appearead - double YEY.

Thank you Mr. Admin person for your hard work!

Hi I have just recently bought a arnova 9g2 with ics already installed, but like other members I was disapointed about the apps . I have been reading about updating the firmware through arctool and have folowed the steps ie clicked on firmware tab but instead of being able to choose 1.1 it just comes up with please select a firmware but no options. Where do I get 1.1 from.
Sorry but I'm very new to all this.

The firmware listed in this discussion is made for Arnova 9 G2 running Android 2.3 Gingerbread (which is installed on the older 9 G2 models).

There ICS firmware with Google Play Store is located here but is not available yet on ArcTools, still you can install it using Rockchip flasher as explained in the article.

Cheers.
