My 9G" was powered off just before Christmas.
When I tried booting it a couple of hours later, I got to the ARNOVA splash screen and then it failled to fully boot.
I tried to use the Rockchip Batch tool v1.5 but as the system is not booting fully my Windblows Vista laptop does not find it. When paired to my Fedora 18 desktop and my Ubuntu 12.10 netbook, they show that there is 0MB of memory. evidently the ROM has failed.
Despite emailing Arnova support and their promise of a response within 2 days, I have yet to get a response from them. Its now almost 4 weeks since I reported the problem to them by email.
If anyone has an email address for the directors of the company I would be most grateful as their UK customer service is garbage. The only way I am going to get this resolved is probably buy a new tablet. But it won't be an Arnova.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Did you get the tablet in the flasing mode so you can use Rockchip tools ?
It refuses to enter flashing mode. Hence why I have connected it to my Linux desktop so that I can see what memory space is available. It reads as 0MB when it should be 8GB... its a ducked ROM. and trying to flash a ROM that is Borked is not going to work.
The vista laptop only sees the device for a split second, then tells me there is no device connected. But it doesn't actually show as 2918 as previously seen, it just shows 3-4, then disappears.
Someone had the same situation 2 days ago, he did not gave any sign till now.
I told him to use another usb cable
Try to uninstall the old drivers, and use another usb cable from htc/samsung

Given my borked 9G2 is less than 7 months old. Arnova can fix it. As an aside the brick appears pink when it connects to the Vista laptop. Restore fails with unknown device. Oh and if anyone has a contact email address for Arnova customer care Iwould appreciate having it as I am deaf and cannot ring the customer service helpline
You need to register your device, on the arnova`s website if you want to send them an email.
If you want, i can try to unbrick your device remotely, usin Team Viewer.
